Wow... the Longbow looks VERY different now, but it's not bad at all! :)

If something is too white, it comes off as devoid of any color on the table and stands out in an unnatural way.

Best way to deal with that is to use a slightly off-white - eg. Corax White, which is slightly greyish - with good panel lining, and then ghostbrush the edges with pure white. Alternatively, 15th Arcturan Guards use tiger-stripes on the upper arms, which looks really good by contrast.

I'll also call out the weathering, it really pushes these to the next level.  Very cool.

I've never liked that model but wow, that CGL plastic version and your paint have changed my mind.

Well done sir!

The AML color scheme is pretty time consuming. I doubt i'll do more of those until that unique forcepack comes out sometime in the future. At some point I also want to try the 1st Falcon Sentinels color scheme too.

Another addition to my Jade Falcon Peregrine / Vau Galaxy unit:

Thanks, pretty much the same blues used to paint ultramarines in 40k.

Nova in Jade Falcon Vau Galaxy colors:

On this mech I swapped the blue cockpit for a fiery yellow and swapped the grey from celestra grey to AP ash grey. In the lore Vau galaxy can't come to an agreement on which shade of grey to use, so I might do slight variations of grey on any further ones.

Glorious pieces
The Night Gyr's cockpit viewports must have been a pain to get done nicely, though... I have issues with Gargoyles and they're easier-looking.

The viewports on that one weren't as hard as you might think. I just painted them white, and used slightly thinned blood angels red contrast paint over it, then while that dries use another brush to dab at the center to get some of the white undercoat showing through. I've found some cockpits have a shape where this method works well, others look better with the typical gem highlighting.
