Looking through some of my materials for Bannson's Raiders' information I can only find a few bits of information on what equipment and pilots they fielded.
Already looked at the dossiers on Sarna which give us a Atlas, Catapult, Hatchetman, Firestarter, Arbalest and a Fox Armored Car.

Add Centurion, Shadow Cat II, Zeus, Mad Cat Mk.II, Mongoose II, Black Knight, Jupiter, Sniper , DI Morgan Tank, Locust, Wasp, Thunderbolt, Aesir, Ghost, Shoden, J-37 and AgroMech ), Xanthos (for some time), Cygnus, Atlas, Neanderthal, Griffin, Long Tom, Crane, Padilla, Glory, Targe, Garrot, MHI Defense Tank, Phoenix Hawk, Raider Mk.II, MHI Hawk Moth Gunship, Valiant, Morningstar, Solitaire, Manteuffel
- the Bannson's Raiders can field almost every 'mech and vehicle availbale in the Dark Age. After all, wasn't he described as one of the wealthiest people of his era?
-
I was looking for as much canon information as possible rather than randomly rolling up low end Republic or Merc gear.
I was trying to sort them out like some of the other dossiers will list other units in the star or lance of the 3 starter regiment/clusters.

Actually fairly certain everything the Martian just mentioned has a dossier: warrenborn.com has the full list
-
Cool, I will look at that . . . I thought Sarna had linked to all the available ones.
-
There's a loooot of dossiers. Guess Sarna can't police them all up.

Have fun!
It's one of my favouritiest factions/units/whatever of all time. I'd ramble a lot more about them, but it's late. Definitely going to do more to come when I'm more coherent.
As a side note, in the Proving Grounds books, Jack Farrel has a lance consisting of his Jupiter, "Dagger" Di Jones' Hatchetman, a Firestarter and a Mad Cat III. My personal fanon says that the Firestarter is Pyro Peterson.
-
Pyro is with the Band of Five, Di is with the Jokers and I always pictured Jack with the Scourge. Then again, Di is also supposed to be linked to Magpie who is also one of the five. Already went there after Nav_Alpha suggested . . . getting together lists based on the regiment . . . starting to think they might have been organizationally challenged.
Did the Raider & Raider Mk II turn into the Storm Raider mechs?

Did the Raider & Raider Mk II turn into the Storm Raider mechs?
No, the two are completely unrelated designs.
Jack Farrel was allways associated with Wylds Jokers, and may have been their leader. may.
-
Yeah, just saw that . . . always thought he was elite because of everything in the novels.
As far as the Raider/Storm Raider, descriptions and loadouts are oddly close.

Colonel Steve Wyld is the Joker's leaders, according to the early WizKids scenario fluff. Liked cigars and a southern style drawl.
But never seems to get mentioned again.
I always saw Jack Farrel as a bit of a free floating fixit man for Jacob. He seems to get around and doesn't all do his work from a mech.
Ironic how he, y'know... Turned out to be a Republic ghost knight

Do we have any information about what Persuader's armament?
-
Oh yeah, when I put a model in (TDR-7M) it was based on the Merc list in FM3145.
-
I believe they got their name, at least partially because they operated in five man lances, much like clan stars
-
Hmm, that could make sense when I have 5 canon IndiMechs total . . . which was giving me some organizational fits.
-
Oh yeah, when I put a model in (TDR-7M) it was based on the Merc list in FM3145.
I would change one or two things:
It should be TDR-10S Thunderbolt (for Cita Moreno)
It should be BLK-NT-3B Black Knight (for Barry Segal)
It should be MON-267 Mongoose II (for Chuck Oles).
It should be Shadow Cat II 4 (for Federick Bo)
Raider/Raider Mk.II and Storm Raider are different 'Mechs. Perhaps they have two things in common: Both belong in the Light class, and the fact that both 'Mechs are not armed with energy weapons.
But Raider was developed by Jacob Bannson and uses I.C.E. engine, while Storm Raider was developed by Defiance Industries and manufactured by Coventry Metal Works. Storm Raider uses Fusion engine.
-
Yeah, I read about the Raider- just left my initial conjecture.
For the TBolt, I picked the lower end of the Merc RAT which was the -7M. I also realize the BK should be one of the new FS models but eh . . . Mongoose improvement makes sense with the Raider's known factional differences, I just did not look up the named mechs much.
Why the Shadow Cat 4 rather than the HAG version? Any fluff for the character or dial I missed?
-
Yeah, I read about the Raider- just left my initial conjecture.
Honestly, as we don't know when Raider's record sheet will be published, I would go with the Storm Raider if I were in your shoes. These 'Mechs are quite similar.

The description of her Thunderbolt states that it has ER PPC and ER Large Laser with LRMs. As I like T-bolts, I know that -10S is the only variant that fits.
Last year - after TRO:3145FS was published - I used record sheets to recreate those Black Knights for my MegaMek, so I know that -3B is the only model with ER PPCs and small lasers. I don't like this particular model too much, but I know its stats.
The WizKids' fluff for Mongoose II quite clearly describes upgrade from -266 to -267 model, etc.
Why the Shadow Cat 4 rather than the HAG version? Any fluff for the character or dial I missed?
Because his 'Mech uses EMRG "Captain" Gauss Rifle. I remember from TRO:3060 that those weapons were used on Highlander IIC and that they are standard Gauss Rifles firing solid slugs. And if the 'Mech uses a pair of LRM-10 launchers, then it must be Shadow Cat II 4.

Here is sort of what I came up with for the Band of Five- did we ever get a reason for that name?
Don't think we ever got an official name for it.
I always figured they picked it cause it sounded cool and matched their logo. (A splayed out hand)
I remember some WOB unit was later portrayed to use a similar icon and always figured the Band of 5 insignia was meant to be an In Universe ref to that.
-
Though they have nowhere near the training or equipment of the other factions, they have a brutality and savagery about them that manifests in their willingness to do anything to achieve victory. Whether on the battlefield or off, whether through traps, ambushes, assassinations, intimidations, hostage taking -- only winning matters. This attitude, along with their propensity for maneuvering in groups of five, gave them their name.
-
If it helps any in the substitution; Bannson did have a lance of Storm Raiders from DiNapoli before they defected to the Dragons' Fury.
Also, Bannson's Cygnus is the only one in all of the Raiders
-
Knew I didn't make up the five man lance! That said "move in groups of five" could just refer to them being really clingy in social situations. Imagine a party put on by the Band of Five...
-
The Faction dossier was referring to combat situations where most Band of Fire members operated in five-man groups. With that said, most if not all of their combat lances were in fours, so that was mostly for flavor.

There's a beautifully done 471 page document available for download from this site that contains all the dossiers and pilot cards:
