That's a very versatile IFV for the Succession Wars period - I like it!

as usually, with IFV I cringe in pain when I try to consider how to pack 28 soldiers including battle-rattle into a tank with the size of an Abrams (thats what a Scorpion is)
The design in its own is solid (a smaller version of the Kanaille Terminator) - but 28 soldiers.... and that much ammunition.  8)

I had this "guideline" https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=59729.msg1371543#msg1371543 as "fan-rule" for putting infantry into a tank.

So your Scorpion 25/5+5 = 10 spaces. with 3 tons you have 4 squads = 4 spaces,  SRM 4s, two spaces, machine guns (1 space), ammunition 2 spaces - seems legit.

This sounds like the beginn of a great meme - have Davions more overweight than Lyrans? But I'm pretty sure you can pack two Kurita soldiers in the space of a Rasalgheti  :D

I am currently playing with another version armed with 1 Medium Laser, 1MG and 1 SRM2. Same armor of the standard Scorpion remains.

It is not better armed than this one with 2 MGs and 2 SRM4s, but I considered it interesting for low intensity scenarios as long Lasers don't require ammunition.

Sounds like that would look like a present-day IFV turret.
"That's Lieutenant Faceplant to you, Corporal!"

Things that I have learnt through clicking too fast on 'Move Done' on MegaMek: Double-check the CF of the building before jumping onto it, check artillery arrival times before standing in the neighbouring hex, and don't run across your own minefield.

"Hmm, I wonder if I can turn this into a MM map."

I'd rather have a LRM5 than a SRM4, but YMMV. Short-range crit-seeking is what PBI do. LRM support is what they need.

Using Fractional Accounting for half-ton ammo bins, you could have both!  :)

hmm, as long you need to deploy the infantry close to the enemy I favored short range weapons. You can use this one in combination with the standard Scorpion armed with the AC/5.
