For building costs check out the Building and Mobile Structure Costs Table in the back of TacOps. It'd be page 418 in the older combined book. The basic cost is below. There's tables for structures, engines, armor, etc. Add them all together and you've got your total cost.

Base Unit Cost = (Structure Cost + Engine/Generator Cost + Motive System Cost + Armor Cost + Weapon and Equipment Cost) x (1 + CF ÷ 100)*

As far as going hull down, Trailers can't as they don't have MP to spend but they can benefit from half levels if they're adjacent to one.
Quote
Second, if a vehicle is adjacent to a half-level hex and the LOS of the attack passes through that hex, the vehicle is con-sidered hull-down for that attack.

So you could park a trailer, or vehicle, in a hex surrounded by half-level hexes, and it'd count as hull-down from all directions. That could be considered "buried".

It's been a few days but a question riflemech if you read this. If the enemy were to either reach the half levels surrounding the turret or attack while jumpjetting it would negate this protection allowing the shots to strike places other than the turret correct?

Would Direct hits on the hex from artillery bypass this defense or impact on the turret?

Can I make half levels with the bulldozers?

I'm guessing I should probably mine or fortify these half level tiles.

Prospective Simplified Turret lighter less armor and therefore cost though still high turret armor one each AC-10 and 2.

The easiest way around hills like that is to stand on a taller hill.

More realistically though I modified the linebacker main battle tank of this thread to have a turret version. It is the same in most respects except for armor being redistributed and CASE being removed to save a bit of money. Even with lessened armor though it can still take a gauss rifle to any face in case of ambush wile being moved to it's destination. Turret has 148 Armor. Can go hull down under standard fortified ground rules.

In the defense of the world from invasion any assets of possible use must be considered as such some civilian vehicles have conversion kit's prepared in large number to convert these vehicles to light combatants if deemed necessary.

Hilux Series- Based off a reliable series of old Terran trucks this is a common popular truck available in large numbers. Characterized by a rugged frame and off road capability. The Conversion kit for these vehicles is simple a bolt on frame of BAR7 armor to protect against small arms fire and shrapnel and maybe if fate smiles upon you close calls with heavier armament. The Hilux has a respectable 7/11 MP and you can knock off 4k C-Bills of the listed cost as these would be appropriated civilian vehicles.

Hilux Transport- Has a half ton cargo bay to either carry cargo or infantry. Has a support machine gun and a grenade launcher with a mix of standard and inferno rounds.

It's been noted to me that my main cheap scout the jeep has the major flaw that even with off road mod it has constraints on terrain it can traverse. So I built three more scouts that fill the same role with similar armament as well. One each Tracked, Vtol, Hover. All are armed with dual support machine guns and triple recoiless rifles. The rifles were chosen due to more basic tech ammo choices than SRM has. With inferno ammo any of these should be the absolute bane of battle armor.

Light Tracked Scout- 5/8 MP the slowest of the scouts by a fair margin but has the ability to traverse difficult terrain as well as being able to hide unlike aircraft.

Basic Fire Control(14 kg)
Now for a non scout vehicle. I was looking for how to use a long tom for important battles. This unit was intended to be used in fortified terrain fieldworks. This necessitated a turret which the standard vehicle didn't have. The standard mobile long tom also is slower than the slowest unit's here meaning it would slow down a force this was unacceptable. And lastly if the enemy could fire back the long tom had to little armor that even in field works it would die. The unit below was my solution.

Paladin Long Tom- Built on the 75 ton Paladin Heavy Tank chassis previously posted in this thread. Features a unique turret to fit the new weapon otherwise most parts are interchangeable except for the engine which had to be changed to a fuel cell due to tonnage reasons. Speed is unchanged.

Armor scheme is revised as this is meant to be used in field works. In case of attack while traveling this unit has 20 points on the sides and rear and 40  on the front which will be placed at the vulnerable angle if enemies get close to the field works. The turret has 116 armor.

Armament is obviously a long tom artillery piece fed by 5 tons of mixed ammo. The 5 tons is mainly to have a wide selection as ammo running out isnt a great concern as such field works also have replenishment vehicles. Meant to be used in batteries of four.  In battles important enough to have these deployed a minimum of 3-4 self propelled thumper batteries are likely deployed as well.

As far as I can from the rules. attacks against the tank behind a half-hill have a +2 modifier and hit either the turret or front armor. Or the rear if it backed in. In this case where the tank is surrounded I'd say a successful attack hits either the turret or location the attack came from. From the front hits the front, the side hits the side. I believe that covers jumping as well.

If artillery hits the hex the unit would take full damage in 5 point groupings. Buildings are handled a bit differently.

That might need some clarification. TacOps says they can make fieldworks the same way the Trench/fieldworks Engineers can which gives a +2 towards attacks against infantry.

Mines would be good.
