Questions regarding custom Merc unit decals

Hear me out on this guys, this doesn't involve using official faction and/or unit emblem images that were in Battletech.  (or else it'll be considered piracy)  This is in regards of making custom Mercenary unit decals.  Will it be alright to make custom (as in home made) Merc' unit decals?  It has to be our own mercenary unit.  (Though I haven't gotten ideas of what to make for my Azure Rangers mercenary unit emblem.  I'll definitely need to pitch on that.  But that'll be for a different section on this forum or via PMs).

I've made plenty of custom decals for personal use, adds a great touch of easy detailing for your minis.  You can even make greebling panels for blank flat surfaces like tanks as well, or mechs like the Deimos.

I don't know if they still do it anymore but years ago I sent some drawings I made
of my own custom merc unit insignia to Brian at FPG.
They modified the image to something they thought would work better as a water
slide decal and Emailed me the image.
I immediately approved it and they made me several custom decal sheets.

They've become a much larger company now so I don't know if they still make customs but
