LNC-25-02 Lancelot / 1st Proserpina Hussars
« on: 07 June 2019, 16:40:19 »
For the longest time, all that most of us had to visually reference any particular paint scheme was Camo Specs. Not Camospec.com, but this little book of actual dead tree paper about a 1/3 of a page high (yes, I know... I must have gamed with Ramses II and Moses). In that book was a Goliath, painted in the scheme of the Proserpina Hussars.

To me, that is what the Hussars should look like... So when I decided to make a CSO packet and got to Kurita (because I was going around the Inner Sphere), I wanted something different than the Swords of Light, so I went with the Hussars...

This is the last of the ones I painted 5 years ago and held on to without sharing pictures (I still have one more I am trying to finish the paint on). There are other blues I like better, and other greens I like better, but of everything I painted this is my favorite paint job.

Of course, the panelling and shading is skilled. The colours are vibrant and compelling. But it's the subtle repose which lifts the sum of the parts, and makes a frankly blah miniature sing.

A champion of a job, Cazaril!

Another mech brought to life!

Looks great.  One of my favorite "odd" paint-schemes in the DCMS too!
