The luxury resort city of Yakan {from the  textile - with bold colors and geometric patterns}, chartered by the Koizumi Dai Ichizoku during the first score of years after the settlement of the Ichizoku on their landhold, has a normal population of 173,457 that may swell to well over a million during events, festivals, and holidays with tourists from across the planet and stellar system. The city is located near the southern most area of Shinrin, at the ti of the eastern side of the Gemini Hanto {twin peninsula} with Emerald Bay on the west side of the city, and the Akai Umi to the east - with excellent surfing conditions most of the year. Yakan stretches from the tropical rainforests of the Flamenco Hills well into Emerald Bay [named for the nearby gemstone mine, not the turquoise waters of the bay} with a half dozen cruise terminals, commercial and fishing ports, and several  large marinas and yacht clubs, with spectacular views of Haku-san {mount haku, white mountain (shield volcano)} across the bay. there is a small but sophisticated intercontinental aeroport, Izumrudnyy Aeroport {emerald}, capable of handling small craft and dropships, and has special accommodations for the Princess class lxury passenger liner dropships from the Neptune Orient lines and Phoenix Mercantile fleets. Rokkakkei Eki {hexagon station} which handles both the continental high speed rail lines and the city's light rail public transport system, is well known for its colorful abstract and fractal tile mosaics that cover the walls and floors of the station, inside and out. Hanabira Bun'ya {petal field} is a multiuse complex and the 'petals' of the stadium structure, as well as other structures in the complex are arranged as fibonacci repeating spirals. the stadium seats as many as one hundred thousand,  all with optimum views of the action (a wide variety of sportsand athletic events, as well as concerts and cultural events), with demountable and retractable seats and fields, and a skydeck with bars, food kiosks, exclusive merchandise, and lounges. The green buildings of the complex are powered by solar and ground sourced geothermal (as is much of the city), designed to withstand earthquakes (tremors an almost daily occurrence),  with the shell of the stadium covered in millions of petal shaped, spiral patterned panels of programmable lights that put on quite a show from twilight onward, in theme for individual events. The rest of the complex contains open green spaces, walking trails, a tennis facility, a health club, olympic size swimming and diving pools, pro-shops and boutiques, community playing fields, an extreme sports area, and a multilevel indoor arena that hosts equestrian sports, basketball, e-leagues, hockey, figure skating, and also concerts, events, banquets, and activities. Yakan is quite spread out, roads and boulevards are wide enough for regular traffic, which is limited to electric power, but are mostly used by delivery vehicles and livery vehicles. the tourists mostly use cabs and limosuines, but locals mostly use the light rail system to get around - it is quick and effecient, is not crowded, and covers the whole city including the hills, beaches, and port areas, although motorcycles and scooters are also popular. Parking lots  and structures in the city are minimal and designed to be either invisible or beautiful to behold. The local single home residence communities are scattered throughout the city and are named after geometric patterns and shapes, many of these neighborhoods create a vibe of feeling and design inspired by their shapes. Tourism is the engine and primary ecnomy of the city, even the small amount of light industry in the city is focused on producing goods for the tourist trade, and there is enormous investment in the devotion and commitment to outstanding, exemplary, and exceptional service levels throughout the city from the lowest sanitation worker to the most exclusive concierge (and salaries definetly reflect this - e.g. wait staff earningsare commensurate with technicians or even engineers in other cities) [In general Nejiro is a non-tipping socirty and gratuities are only acceptable for favors and extraordinary services outside the norm.] kokyo Senta Koen {public center park} is a nine hundred acre public park (full of lush vegetation and flowers carefully curated from the nearby rainforests) at the center of the city bordered by civic buildings - City Hall, the Mayor's Mansion (currently Akihiro Madrigal), Unity Hospital, kinkyu Taio Honbu {emergency response headquarters} - with all services from the constabulary to firefighting and also the NPO Resident Office, the Yakan Gazette headquarters (a news daily that focuses on gossip, society news, calendars and coverage of local events that occaissionally publishes global human interest stories, and headline news),Yakan Community Polytech, Kokyo Toshokan {the public library}, the Yakan Magistrate Courthouse, and The Postal Service. this in turn is surrounded by Hana no Odori {flower boulevard} a tropical flower lined wide boulevard perfect for parades and street fairs, which is surrounded by high rise apartment buildings and hotels with views of the park, ocean, bay, or city depending on the orientaion of the building. The Amai {sweet} candy factory offers free tours and produces hand pulled saltwater taffy, hand pulled lollipops, konpeito, ichigo ame, peppermint creams, over one hundred flavors of jelly beans, chew candy, hard candy, and gunnys, also handspun ribbon candy, higashi, amanetto, and karinto. La Contessa is the finest hotel in Yakan, located right on the oceanfront of the Akai Umi, a luxury resort hotel and spa with a casino, private docks for the yachts of their most affluent guests in the natural lagoon in front of the hotel and uninterrupted views of the puffy pink sands of Akala Beach and the ocean beyond. the Grand Opera House (the most opulent on planet) hosts the finest touringart shows, symphonies, ballet and dance copanies, pop and rock concerts, broadway shows and theater, children's programming, speaking engagements, and opera companies. the Beachside ArtWalk contains extra wide sidewalks lined with tropical shade trees, artisan studios, art galleries, shops, izakaya, ryokan, sidewalk cafes, temples and shrines, museums, theaters, and music clubs on Akala Boulevard which runs parallel to the beach for over five kilometers, and is in easy walking distance of its bordwalks and waves. The Aquaria is located on the harbor  and includes an aquarium, a water park, the Biosphere Gardens, The Lantern - a working lighthouse you can tour which also houses a museum and a popular restaurant, and the Big Lift - an elevator with a circular glass cabin that moves sideways over the harbor and then upwards more than forty meters, it has incredible three sixty views of Yakan and Emmerald Bay. Encanto {charm} is the most well known and exclusive nightclub on the continent, the venue exudes quality, style, and class from its Funktion1 soundsystem to the gourmet chef-grade food to the stellar lineup of DJ's and EDM aficionados. Zouk {party} is another well known popular nightclub with a complex of six dance floors that play a variety of dance music, making sure everyone can have a really great time. the Pleasure Piers extend into Emerald Bay, aresomewhat isolated on the far side of the harbor, and contain a wide variety of intimate adult delights for the over twenty five crowd. Tourists also enjoy the opennaie outdoor markets, casinos, rainforest trails, nude sunbathing, colorful yukata, beach leisure activities (or non-activities as the mod demands), amusement parks, shopsand boutiques, golf, gelaterias, bars and clubs, cirques, numerous panoramic vantage points, shows, fine dining, exotic gardens, pickleball, polo fields, indycar races, mediterranean style villas and perches villages in the hills, festivals, private cabanas, sailing, snorkeling, deep sea diving, scuba diving on the coral reefs, convention center events, tasting and cocktail tours, plazas and fountains, and rainforest excursions.

A pair of V.T.O.L.s will land one heavy lift V.T.O.L. that has the repair team from Loyalty Forsaken the other will be from the N.P.O. The repair crews will look over the Barghest and Dart and start working on repairs. The N.P.O. officers will take the fallen Hitman pilot into custody. They will thank “Duke” and head out ASAP.
They salvage crew will get the Hitman ready for transport and collect the parts from the Panther and Sprit Helicopter.
When what repairs that can be made are done “Duke” and his force will move out so they can join the main assault force.

Kapten Bjornsen sighs and looks out his window at the base around him. He slowly turns back to his desk, and has his assistant summon Quartermaster Quist to his office. Once Natanael arrives, Marius says, "I have another idea regarding the Rescue Command and it's command vehicle. Recently, I learned about the Provost-class airships. They are Ore haulers, and some have been converted to luxury tourist vessels. If we can get our hands on one, I believe that Viir, along with a local manufacturer will be able to make that into a full on command center and transport vehicle in one. Now, we just need to get one here and get started on the conversion. Any luck getting me that meeting with the board?"

Quartermaster Quist smiles and stretches his arms forward, cracking his knuckles as he does, "That's just the challenge I needed right now. I was getting a tad bored. I'll get right on that request. I haven't heard back from the board yet, but I think that we will soon. Relax, it'll all happen in time. Oh, Kapten, you may want to jump your rank up a bit, so that we can promote our juniors to appropriate ranks, considering the growth we're experienced recently. After all, Overste-Lojtnant Bjornsen has a good ring to it. "

“Get him to medical, NOW!”
“What happened?”
“We ran into some GSF units. That’s what! Have the tech go over the ‘Mech. I want a full damage report ASAP.”
“Hai, for just a basic look she will be down for some time.”
“Well when a heavy gauss rips off one side and your ammo gets corked off that is what you have when all is said and done.”
“What happened to your number two?”
“Mostly the same thing, he just could not keep moving after both torsos got shot off.”
“So what do we do next?”
“Keep a low profile for now. Nakazawa is on his own. That is the third warrior and ‘Mech he has cost this unit. Not to mention the four tanks and crews. That fool keeps doing stupid things and getting good men and equipment killed.”
“What about our new benefactor?”
“Somehow I do not think they will have a problem with this. With the new units that just arrived and what we have they now have a good security force. They also may want to keep low or they too will end up like Nakazawa, running to keep their skin on.”
“What are we going to do?”
“First off we will work with the other unit so that we both know the area. Second as we have the newer ‘Mechs we will be running security patrols the most. Last off both our Battle Armor and that of the new unit will setup ambush points for any that poke around here.”
“Hai sir.”

“Recon 1230 to command, recon 1230 to command tell the GSF to get moving the Kokuryu-kai are moving out. They have moved the armor to new positions with more remote weapons. The ‘Mechs Have moved past the new line.”
“Roger recon 1230.”

yes. one of the things they do well. they can clear them as well. your advance will be slow as they have a ground movement of 1

Can my "Waddle" battlearmor do the same without being noticed?

they have ECM not Mimetic armor. the old MK.I eyeball can spot them. also they are not as good as clearing mines as Fa Shih. they do cover more ground as they have a ground movement of 2.

So, they could help clear mines in night operations?

All infantry units can clean mines. It just gets mesy if the botch the rolls  xp

As for the night bit yes but they are not as good as sapper or Fa Shih units and can still get spotted by alert enemy units.

ECM .... electronic counter measures .... Not make invisible.
Both Stealth Armor and Guardian scramble electronic signals at a limited range. What both due best is force advanced targeting systems from getting the bonuses they add to attackers. Also C3 units don't like Guardian and BattleMech stealth armor.

Clearing mine fields is not easy or fun  >:D. Moving them makes clearing them look like child's play. Then add night to make it a night OP .... very much not fun.

“Recon 1230 to command, have the assault units move to their left. That area is clear and they just might get a shot at the Kokuryu-kai ‘Mechs. They will still have to deal with the dug in armor and the remote turrets but they will not have to deal with the minefields.”
“Roger 1230, assault units to move left. Did you spot the DS that was reported in the area?”
“Negative command, if it is close is must be in a valley.”
“Roger 1230, do keep an eye out for it.”
“Roger command. We are moving to a new location, looks like we have some unwanted interest in our current location. We will be out of touch until we find a new location.”
“Roger 1230. Keep your heads down.”

“OK get the tanks into the bunkers. Have the hovers ready to breakoff and make sure his lordship is on his wat to the DropShip. If he is not on site when we get too the ship he has a very long walk.”
“Hai Sir!”
“Leader to group all fast units will move to scout ahead and make sure the way is clear for the heavy units. Hover commander you are to move off a half klick from the ship. Warriors you’re to get you ‘Mech on the on the ship and locked down ASAP.”
“Hai Sir” Will come from all the different units.
“We will make them pay for this.”

“OK this is all the repair and re-loading we can do for now. We will get the ‘Mech slung up and get it back to base.”
“See about the other parts as well. They may be of use.”
“Yes sir we get them as well.”
“Don’t you stay to long out here; you have no security to speak of.”
“We won’t take one second more than need sir.”
“OK people let’s get moving so we can join the main assault force.”

“We have to hurry the DropShip is on the ground and they have told us they will not wait.”
“I need to get these last few things done. With getting these things locked down I am broke.”
“Well you have better get it done fast of you will be in her jail money or not.”
“Have my personal guard ready we will be moving as soon as I am done here.”
“You better do it fast, the ‘Mechs are moving to the ship and it will not take long for them to get loaded on board.”

“He is scrambling all he accounts.”
“Can you do anything?”
“I am trying but he knows what is what better than I do.”
“Do what you can. We will need the funds to keep things running.”
“Working on it, I locked out some on him but he has most. I hope that after he is moving I can break more of them. He keeps changing things up.”

“What should we do skipper?”
“Well as the group commander I think it best that we turn over the ships when he is gone. This was his thing not ours. I hope that the governor will keep in mind that we did not fire on the militia and offered no resistance.”
“Yes sir. I will inform the crews.”
