Not a single one of those is going to Cornstar in my collection, unless you delve really deeply into propaganda.

King Crab - SLDF
Highlander - Highlanders
Black Knight - Free Worlds League
Exterminator - Word of Blake
Sentinel - Word of Blake
Mercury - Scorpion Empire

Ah, but the King Crab, Highlander and Sentinel are also all produced in the Lyran Commonwealth, and the Black Knight in the Federated Suns. The Exterminator was also produced in very limited quantities in the Capellan Confederation around 3007. The only one for which I’m unsure is the Mercury, but it could be one that Comstar sent to the Combine.

Like most of my other minis the black knight will get generic camo and go in whatever hodgepodge force I’m fielding. The only reason I do batch painting by company is so they damn things get done

Wait, I thought it was the Suns that were making it in the late 3SW period?

Mercury was listed as basically extinct, I don't even think it was deployed to the DC.

The Crockett actually looks good now. I am impressed. Looks nothing like a Crockett anymore, but that's only an opinion.

Non-Omni, non-unseen redesigns continue to leave me cold and uninterested. Newest batch certainly. There are some that are OK and I'd consider using them but mostly not.
Edit Lancelot is kinda good. Need to see final mini though. Might not fit well with existing Star League minis though.

I had no idea what it was supposed to be until I read the name. Not sure that’s a good thing.

I like the flashman. Never really used the Crockett so it's like...fine? Iunno it was ugly as sin so it's not like they could make it worse ^_^.

None of the mechs are anything special, but the flashman finally has legs that make sense.

Going to mild disinterest from total disgust IS an upgrade.

I didn't even know the Crockett existed, but after looking up the original I'm wondering if maybe I just repressed the memory of it.  Not only does the new one look way better, it also actually has its SRMs now.

I remember of the Flashman, but again I had to hit Sarna to remember what it looked like.  Probably repressed this one too. Looks way better and the arms make some sense now.  Never been a fan of the large dome headed mechs though.

The Guillotine is a modern update that manages to improve while still retaining the feel of the old version.  I like how the left arm is below the shoulder now instead of coming straight out of it.

Now the Lancelot doesn't look like something you'd find in a gumball machine!

The Crab certainly does a good job of modernizing the mech, but I still don't like it.  I just don't liked that odd torso and I've never seen a version that could change my mind.

Mongoose looks like it was inspired by the MON-66GX.

well now, that's all open to speculating.  Going to play wait-n-see then.

duh! should have checked my email first!

Steroids? yeah, that works. hope 3d model looks a bit less squat.  Not a great fan. I don't think it needs the chicken walker style legs -- humanoid would have been fine.

Mongoose looks nice! Like comparing my '94 Mazda 323 to a newer Mazda 3.

I can still see the Crockett cockpit, but now he's playing dress-up and going for a WarHammer.

Lancelot looks more reasonable that than the art I'm used to.

I shared this on Anthony's Paetron page about the new Crocket.

My late partner Donna loved the Crockett.  She called it the  Crock and always took one.  When she wanted to name it, I vetoed "Steve" "Irwin" or "Crikey"  She snuck it past me and named it Bindi.

This is a beautiful update and I can't want to get one and paint it Steiner blue and gold in memory of her.

The only one I'm really not feeling here is the Flashman. The bulbous head, back-canted legs and oversized arms are just not doing it for me, but the mini will probably be awesome. I really love the Guillotine, Lancelot and Mongoose, and the Katana (Crockett for all you Philistines) looks good, too. The Crab looks good but suffers from a case of the tinyfeet, along with the Flashman, King Crab and some of the other redesigns. I'm happy to see these redesigns correct a lot of the asymmetrical-for-no-reason features found in the original artwork, such as the Mongoose's legs and the Thug's arms. That kind of stuff really bugged me in the old 2750 TRO and then even more when it was replicated in the original minis.

I do have both the ComStar packs ordered, and they will be split between 1st Ghost Regiment and WoB.

The "tiny feet" thing is because the Crab and Flashman now have digitigrade legs. They're walking on their toes like a cat or dog's rear legs.

If that's the cockpit in the front of the Crab then I definitely don't like that.  Fortunately covering it with a little green stuff shouldn't be a problem and I'll just pretend the cockpit is back between the arms in the torso.

The Lancelot and Mongoose sketches are a bit too rough for me to decide on the right now.

I really want to like the Flashman there's just something I can't identify that's bothering me about it.  I'll have to wait and see the 3D renders.

Love the Guillotine and the Katana  ;)

I'm not sure you'd even need green stuff for the Crab's window.  Could probably just hide it with the paint job.

I generally like the redesigns, however I think that the fanfunded Flashman is better than this.

I'm liking the new Guillotine and Lancelot. (and the Lancelot really needed some work). The Mongoose looks like an updated version of itself, which is also good.

I find the new crab's forearms a bit too chunky, but it fundamentally looks like a crab so I can't really complain.

After that...
I'm sad to say that if the Crockett wasn't labeled, there is no way I would have recognized it. It's not a bad looking machine, but I find it totally forgettable. I feel like the new thug leans that way a bit too, but retains enough essential "thugness" that I still like it. I can live with the new Crockett, but I suspect somebody will have to remind me what it is every time it appears on the table.

The Flashman on the other hand is a total miss for me. The old design needed help for sure , but after seeing the brilliant resculpt IWM put out in conjunction with Behrle Hubbuch and Justin Nelson, I am unconvinced that we needed a whole new Battlemech. The new design isn't bad, but it looks like it has replaced the slightly aero / art-deco design aesthetic of the Star League era with a much more angular WoB kind of look.

I think part of what makes me like the new Black Knight so much is that it updates the whole design while keeping some of that unnecessarily streamlined design from the original SL collection. In my own head, that look provides a subtle cue to designs originating from an imagined golden age.

The Crab's feet are like snowshoes . . . IIRC they are also like that in the original's mini with more of the foot behind the ankle than before.

The Crockett looks good and is a decent conversion from the rounded armor of the previous one.  Guillotine is interesting, looks closer to a Zeus now but putting the images next to each other it still keeps some differences.  Mongoose just looks closer to the Gunslinger mongoose- which is a good thing to me.

Sarna has both those factories producing it actually.
But that should be taken with a grain of salt given its Sarna.
I'm not sure why I was thinking the 4A was a Suns design.
Also not sure why the Mariks would look at it as a replacement for the 6M,  the 6R I could maybe see.
