No kidding, but good on him!  I'm sure he'll be back when he (eventually) retires.  I'm on rather more than usual this tour, but I expect my post rate to plummet when I transfer to my (possibly) last job...

Bit late to the party, but it looks like Photobucket is also watermarking the userbars if you use an ad blocker.  Since nearly everyone does now, especially as a lot of browsers have some level baked in...

I don't have an ad blocker, and your user bar (at least) is fuzzed out and watermarked for me...

Pretty sure it is not an adblocker issue but rather a direct-linking thing, Photobucket tries to prevent that by messing with pics.

EDIT I have adblocker disabled here and all Photobucket hosted images are blurred.

It's Photobucket trying to get people to pay premium to post images.

Yep, the best and simplest way to share pictures is either to post them into facebook (you can create a page or "business account") or you create a deviant art account and add the pictures there into your stash, thats how I do it (with my signature) since photobucket and before another one altered there a business model to charge usage - as you can imagine, I have forgotten the other hoster....

You can also host from Dropbox, which is how I do all of mine for my rpol games. You just have to do a little change to the address to get it to display for everyone else, replacing the www.dropbox.com with dl.dropboxusercontent.com

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. You can still go directly to the URL and see the picture. I rehosted mine on imgur since they can be uploaded anonymously and let you submit the image to be hosted via URL, skipping the download and re-upload step.

No problem. It's all because our great computers fill the hallowed halls.
