Under Water 'Mech Movement
« on: 26 June 2019, 19:26:14 »
I'm confused by paragraph 5 of the movement basics diagram on page 37 of the Alpha Strike Commander's Edition. In this paragraph a player--transitioning from LEVEL 0 into 2" DEPTH WATER--spends 4 inches of move for the elevation change into water and spends 3 inches of move to push through 1.5 inches of water terrain. This confuses me because the movement cost table on page 34 specifies that Depth 2"+ costs +6" of move per inch.

However, I would not be confused if the move cost per inch of Depth 2"-3" equated to +1".

The underwater move costs were errated earlier, but the example wasn’t errated to keep up.

Thanks, I wondered if the chart trumped the example or if the example trumped the chart in this situation. Now I know to go with the former.
