Hello everyone,

I'm putting together a campaign of a mercenary unit with a backstory of having been founded by former Aurigan House military personnel, taking place some time after the Restoration War featured in the HBS BattleTech game.

This would not be the player mercenary unit from that game, but rather the ancestors of some of the current unit members would have been at one time from one of the houses of the old Aurigan Coalition, and would have been members the then unified military of the Aurigan Directorate until its collapse in 3026.

We are looking for a couple more players who are looking to participate.  It will be somewhat freeform, with simulation usage when necessary.  Please message me or reply if interested.

Thank you,
Commander McFadden

Play by post or something else?  I'd definitely be in for play by post...

That's right, play-by-post.

Hmmm… could be very interesting.
What era did you have in mind?

I'd be up for it. As Nav_Alpha said, how far past 3026?

Fairly far past that, and in an AU in some respects based on Classic Battletech.  I'll DM anyone who is interested for further explanation.

Anything pre-clan is good for me.  The most "advanced" tech I like to play with are Blazer Cannons, Artillery Cannons (especially with thermobaric ammo), Rocket Launchers, Recon Cameras and Remote Sensor Dispensers.

No, really!?!  ;D ;D
I have a unit named the Blazing Daryks in my back burner for story NPC or PCs. They are in the same list as the Kowloon Cannons, the Barker Terrors and the Marauder's Marauders, and others

I can be interested as well. I do not play classic BT though (my group plays alpha strike), so I am ignorant of the detailed mechanics of classic BT if that is an issue.

It shouldn't be in a play by post set up...  :)

Love the Kowloon Cannons…

I've sent proposed Infantry Squad Leaders, 'Mech Techs, and Troopers/AsTechs to Cmdr McFadden, so hopefully the support troops are taking shape...

With BattleTech Mercenaries reboot to the 3050 era just after the Battle of Tukayyid, I'm looking to reboot the Aura Wings to that time with the same concept.  Looking for a few people interested in running a poor-off periphery merc unit struggling to stay above financial water in that time-frame.  Shoot me a DM or reply here if interested.

I could probably be convinced if we're staying on the Taurian side of the Sphere...  :)

We will be at least for a while, yeah.  The spinward periphery is the most likely place of employment.
