time of war RPG
« on: 10 December 2018, 19:59:30 »
Is the RPG still supported? Would it be good for a player who is not current on the background and history.
It has me interested, any thoughts would be great.

I think it's worth it, personally.  PDF is the cheapest way to get it (and the Companion).

Also, you can edit the subject of the first post to correct the spelling of the thread title.

I would say the RPG is moderately supported.

while that may not sound real promising its about as good as it has ever gotten.

MechWarrior 2nd edition did have more support, including some adventures/scenario's but my understanding is they never really sold well enough to really justify them.

with that said ATOW does have conversion rules so you can take characters/stat blocks from the older editions and use them in ATOW, you would also need to replace weapons and armor with the current edition versions, and similar.

with that said the RPG has a little background but its not focused on that.

Thank you all, it’s background I’m looking for.
Will consider picking it up.
Thank you

AToW is still supported in that Touring the Stars is still getting published. Touring the stars is great for running any RPG campaign.
