I wouldn't want to present speculation as fact on Sarna, therefore I request confirmation as follows:
1) The mentions of a 2828 battle on Aosia in House Liao (The Capellan Confederation), pp. 77-78, are in error and should refer to Orbisonia instead, including the "Davion industrial world" part;
2) Aosia was a Liao world in 2828, not a Davion world;
3) There was no recorded significant battle on Aosia in 2828 involving the Red Lancers and Protectorate Guard vs. Avalon and Ceti Hussars.
Reasoning (short version):
In the old Liao Housebook, Aosia is mentioned twice as the world where "Lisa" Liao died in 2828. This is pretty obviously in error, and should read Orbisonia instead.
Reasoning (long version):
According to House Liao (The Capellan Confederation), p. 77: In 2828, the Red Lancers saw combat with the Prefectorate Guard against the Avalon and Ceti Hussars in the unsuccessful four-day contest for the Davion world of Aosia; according to p. 78, the Prefectorate Guard was employed as part of the disasterous attack on the Davion Industrial centre of Aosia, during which Chancellor Ilsa Liao was killed. It is rumoured that on the second day of that action, several Hunchback and Rifleman lancers of the Guard broke and ran under fire, thus permitting the Ceti Hussars to outflank and nearly surround the Capellan Ground forces. The official history of the regiment reads differently, however, suggesting that the regiment’s third battalion was overrun early in the second day of fighting before badly neded reinforcements could arrive.
The book also has an index entry for Chancellor Ilsa ("Lisa") Liao "killed on Aosia".
However, the same book narrates on p. 47 that Ilsa was in fact killed on Orbisonia, not Aosia, and all other canonical sources also consistently name Orbisonia as the place.
A map in HB:HL, p. 39/40, shows that as of 2822, six years earlier, Orbisonia was a system just across the FS border while Aosia was some 50 light-years, two jumps, from the border. It seems... unlikely... that it would have been a notable Davion stronghold six years later already.
