I hope this is the first of many.
And both my wallet and Canada Post will cry when I'll make my Christmas shopping :D :D :D

Nice with a capital N
-
Good, good, more of these will suffice for my Battletroops game.
I wonder if I can do a fan sculpt funding for some. *ponders*
-
best piece of mini related news yet! this is awesome, and i hope it does extremely well so we can see more BAs in this size. now the hardest part is the waiting.
-
I need one!
-
Awesome news! I assume they will be available at GenCon too?
How tall is the Hauberk. Or better, any chance for a picture of the Hauberk next to another 28mm miniature?
-
As it is an assault class it should be taller than the 25mm/28mm Elemental
-
28mm suits? :o

Yes they will be at gencon.
Here is a link to some comparison shots. comparison shots (http://www.ironwindmetals.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1088)

Nice! A pretty good way to show just how big Elementals really are, and just how much of an assault suit must be controlled, rather than merely worn like a PA(L).
-
Reminds of the day I decided to fund the standard Hauberk mini. I've got someone picking me up one at GC.
-
It looks awesome!
But an Elemental is a 1000kg machine and the Hauberk is a 2000kg machine, does it look twice as heavy?
-
Given that both suits have a (roughly) human-sized hollow area in the core of the suit, it looks good to me. Especially when you consider that the human in the Elemental is going to be much taller than the one in the Hauberk.
Basically, looking at the comparison shots, it looks like the eye level for the Hauberk and Elemental is about the same, with the Hauberk's back and top gun making it taller and much wider than the Elemental. Meanwhile, the Bounty Hunter's PA(L) is barely chest high to either of the other suits, which works just fine for me.

Will these will be available at some point on the IWM site? I know most, if not all, of the exclusives eventually have been.

The only one sthat haven't been made available are the HPPC Catapult and the Jumping Riflemen from last year
-
Thanks for the comparison pictures.
I am looking forward to having a Hauberk on my workbench.
-
Very nice indeed O0

My baby!

Excellent sculpt. The price is prohibitive. I really wish these could have been done in 15mm scale so that you could affordable purchase squads. A point of Elementals and a squad of Hauberks for around 150 dollars is just too much for me. Please don't take this as a criticism of the the wonderful work IWM does, but the price will prevent me from purchasing these fine miniatures.
-
Price happens, but I agree. Much as I'd like to get a full squad of these, at this point I'll probably only get one or two. :-\
On the other hand, suits like these might be a good candidate for a bundle pack, much like the current lance and squadron packs...
-
The price is prohibitive.
Considering the size, and how much metal must go into them, I think it's reasonable. From the comparison shots, I'm expecting something at least comparable if not larger than assault 'Mechs like the Atlas. Remember also that the Hauberk is at the top end of BA, and if there are additions to the line in the future we will likely see suits in the light and medium classes. Those will be smaller and cheaper.
-
I want the Fenrir, Rottweiler and Sloth in 28mm! [drool]
Ok, Mainly the Fenrir. ;D
-
Seconded [drool]
-
This is really good news and I hope there are more 28mm in the future. I have a buddy going to Hisoricon who will snag me one.
As for price, it's reasonable in my book. I've paid about that much for an assault mech or 10 in the past. I may not have bought all of them a once but I did get them as I could. I did however, buy a complete point of Toads in one shot. That cut into the miniatures budget for the month. One of theses days I'll get around to finishing the Toads in Wolf Hunter colors to go with my Armorcast Madcat.
Thanks again Iron Wind. I hope to see more BA or dare I say it, the return of the Armorcast mechs. One can continue to hope.

*looks closely at the size comaprison shots*
Waaiiitaminute. That Toad looks off. Is that a new Elemental?!?
-
From the looks of it the comparison shot was done with the 28mm Armorcast Toad and not the 25mm Battletroops Toad.
-
So the IWM Toad would be slightly...shorter than the one in the comparison pic?
-
I saw them both at Historicon and they are big. I would say Mech big. They are very nice and seemed to sell well at the con.
-
A comparison between the two elementals: (sorry for the obnoxiously huge image)
