(Answered) Pain Resistance... all injury modifiers
« on: 02 April 2011, 18:00:19 »
p121 Pain Resistance
"reduce all Injury modifiers (to Action Checks and movement effects) by 1 point (to a minimum of 0)"
Does it reduce both the Standard Dmg Mod and Fatigue Dmg Mod?
OR does it reduce their sum by 1?

i.e. Without Pain Resistance, if your Standard Damage Mod is -2 and your Fatigue Damage Mod is -1, is your total Damage Mod -1 or -2 with Pain Resistance?

It only affects the Injury modifier. Which results from Damage.
It does not affect Fatigue-based modifiers.

The solution is just ignore Paul.

Huh.  That answer is a little unexpected since "Fatigue Damage" is a phrase used.  Also, "...the character’s level of fatigue applies its own kind of Injury modifier known as a Fatigue modifier."(AToW p183)  Sounds like maybe it's another that could use better language.  Your answer ended up being between what I expected :)

And yet again, thanks for the clarification!
