The hit location table for Super Heavy Combat Vehicles and Support Vehicles seems to have a unique quality among hit location tables: It's left-right asymmetrical. A Super Heavy vee being shot at from the Front direction can take damage on its Front Right hit location, but not the Front Left hit location, with a reversed situation when getting shot at from the Rear direction.

It's also odd that a standard vee, when shot at from the side, can potentially be hit in the front or rear with equal probability. A Super Heavy vee, on the other hand, when getting shot from the Front Right direction can't even take damage on it's Rear Right location, let alone the Rear location.

Even when a shot does "travel" to a different hit location than the attack direction, here it happens on a 3 instead of on 5 and 9 like for a regular combat vehicle. In other words, a Super Heavy vee with no turret has only a 1 in 16 chance of taking damage in a location other than the one matching the attack direction.

Why was it decided that the location a shot hits on a Super Heavy vehicle should be this predictable, when no other unit type with a direction-based hit location table behaves like this?
