After figuring out what was going on and the real objective (remember the defenders are not told anything) Yes, in all three games.

If they had more than one assault 'mech remaining at that point, no wonder it was nail biting!

Yeah,  breaking into the vault would be much easier if an Atlas kicks the door open for you.

You could adapt pretty much any old "Rat Patrol" episode.

People mentioned Black Adder before, well I'm pretty sure one of March Lords attempts to usurp the First Prince matches what goes on in that perfectly.

Down Periscope, but using fancy Helm Core mechs vs some old Succession War clunker?

Or Hunt for Red October, maybe a Cappie with ECM wanting to run to the Davions.

An experimental Stealth Catapult loaded with Davey Crocketts?

Is there a option for A4s to have a tac nuke warhead?

A4s as in Arrow IV? If so, yes. I am pretty sure one of the Ops books has them.

That's what Davy Crockett rounds are.  Rules for nukes are in Interstellar Ops, I believe.

I knew there were different sizes but since I do not use them I do not know off the top of my head . . .

So yeah, a experimental Stealth Catapult with a nuke loaded A4 . . . could be fun.

Plenty of Native American cultures have skinwalker legends . . . but that bit of detail can be overlooked unless you want them to think in German, cause you are Republic or League.

Saving Private Ryan could be a company or plus strength lance going in to rescue a blue blood after a delayed planetary assault.

When they went in, did Miller and his team know Ryan needed saving/rescuing or were they just going in to tell him that he was being pulled out?  It's been a while.

bit of both. their orders were to go in tell him what happened, and pull him out. but he was in a paratrooper unit that was still well behind the front lines. so they knew their mission was high risk, not only because they had to cross enemy territory, but also because Ryan might well be killed before they even got there.

Have two lances battling it out over two bases in a box canyon.

Rachel Specter: you’re probably all wondering why I’ve called you here. Today.
Hawkins: because the war’s over and you’re sending us all home?
Specter: that’s right soldier. War’s over. We won. Turns out you’re the big hero. They’re holding a parade in your honor. i get to drive the float. And Steiner here is IN CHARGE OF CONFETTI!
Hawkins: ...I’m no stranger to sarcasm, sir.
