Newgrange mini our future?
« on: 14 November 2011, 09:48:27 »
Is there ever going to be a miniature for the Newgrange Yardship? A few of these would look amazing on my Warship mini shelf. 74 warship minis and counting.

We'll probably get one eventually, but I wouldn't expect it to be soon- IWM has a lot on its plate already.

Would it have to be a resin? What, 8 or 10 inches to scale with destroyer or something in the belly dock, if i remember the tro correctly?

And I got a fair idea the kinda personal emotions that some of you fellas may be thinkin'. Heck, I reckon you wouldn't even be human bein's if you didn't have some pretty strong personal feelin's about nuclear combat.

IIRC, that was discussed on the old forums, with Sawbones or Speck saying that IWM had investigated that and decided that a mini that size would be cost prohibitive.

Its not like all of the warship minis are exactly in scale with one another as it is. I'd be glad just to have some Newgrange minis for the representation factor!

At this point, I don't think we should hold out for a resin piece.  I would still like them to make the largest warship mini ever.  Perhaps the hull could come in 4 length-wise pieces, sort of like the Lev II.
Sawbones, could this be done?
