This 'Mech is a variant of the Spider developed by the Nova Cats for use by the Spirit Cats. As such, it is sometimes referred to by the odd nickname of a Spider Cat.
Note: This was created based off of the Spirit Cat's Spider from the clicky game (FP-099). The main points of this are:
• Faster walking speed, but no Jump Jets.
• Pulse Lasers
• Hand weapon --> Retractable Blade (there would be two options for this, either mounted on the Right Arm [standard] or Left Arm [(L) version]
• Decoy (I used LAMS for this)

Neat idea, but the loss of the jump jets makes me nervous.
For the Decoy you could also use a Chaff Pod or ECM suite set to generate sensor ghosts.

Hmmm..... For something this light and relatively fragile.....even with the speed increase, on this version, swap the pulse mediums for a quartet of er mediums and jump the heat sinks to doubles. The doubles will also add some padding for when the armor gets breached...AND help with the heat buildup from the laser AMS. And.....you've got the room.....FF Armor? Would help maybe. My 0.02

I did try to make it a bit more durable by giving it an extra ton of armor over the standard Spider.

I saw that...however, this thing with its armament, is meant to be up close and personal...within knife-fighting range....that said, even with its speed, the armor is much to thin. With this, you either have to have longer ranged weapons and keep the armor as it is, or seriously bump up the armor. Smart choice is to take advantage of the 37 open crit spots. Swap to longer ranged ER Mediums and go to double heat sinks. And put all lasers in the torsos....so WHEN you lose an arm, you aren't defenseless. Leave the blade for when things get desperate or swap it for a quartet of ER Smalls, a pair of ER Med, or a single Med Pulse....or....MORE ARMOR.
