Snow Raven Ranger Infantry Point
« on: 01 January 2024, 01:18:05 »
Nothing special, just two varieties of clan garrison infantry riding Tariqs. The Raven Alliance has a lot of undeveloped land to patrol, after all. Why not do as the locals do?

I stopped short of making a unit equipped with Mauser IICs. I feel like those weapons should be reserved for jobs other than patrolling the hinterlands, even if tariq mounted troops wielding Mauser IICs would be scary effective.  Also resisted the urge to equip a point with vibroswords, as that would feel like a completely different sort of unit.

Good news is the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show an immediate latency of 44.6 years. So if you're thirty or over you're laughing. Worst case scenario you miss out on a few rounds of canasta, plus you've forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face.

These are cool I like the ER more but that's simply due to it having more of a hunter feel, the Gauss SMG variant would be great when they come to a small town

Perfect for a place far from the front lines
My three main Alternate Timeline with Thanks fan-fiction threads are in the links below. I'm always open to suggestions or additions to be incorporated so if you feel you wish to add something feel free. There's non-canon units, equipment, people, events, erm... Solar Systems spread throughout so please enjoy

Did you consider the Brightstar Laser Carbine from Shrapnel #9?

Shrapnel also gave us a range of SMGs and Shotguns that would fit mounted troops, I think... :)

Honestly, I tend to shy away from the Shrapnel guns. Frankly I think the writer of those articles went more than a little overboard in spots.
