Title: New Site Logos
Post by: Moonsword on 14 April 2018, 22:20:04
We've swapped out the BattleTech logo for CGL's new version, seen on last year's Technical Readout: Succession Wars and upcoming products such as Alpha Strike: Commander's Edition and the new box sets.

It was also on the BMM, but I digress...
I see the change on the bb main, but it hasn't ported to the forums Battletech 2.0 skin yet, as of this posting.

I did it late in the day and haven't gone back in to do the other themes yet.

EDIT: Done in everything but the Republic theme, which I left with its theme default logo because I think that one looks better in that theme.  The site's branding is consistent for the default and the themes that don't come with their own logos.  You folks who want to follow Stone, we'll deal with you when Clan Emerald Capellan Lobo* gets around to becoming ilClan.

*: I have no clue who becomes ilClan or even if there is an ilClan.  I just push the buttons.

the graphical A was repurposed from MechCommander for the new HBS game

CGL started using the logo on the Combat Manuals in 2015-16. It has also appeared on First and Second Succession Wars, the two Spotlight On PDFs, and the aforementioned BMM and TRO: Succession Wars. IntOps and CampOps were the last print products to feature the old logo. Touring the Stars: Iron Land, Old Kentucky, Mizar, and Wynn's Roost from 2017 still used the old logo as well.

I assume all CGL-published materials going forward will feature the new look
