My first thought was just to have techs recalibrate the lasers so they work like normal under water. Kind of like having an autocannon set to rapid fire. The drawbacks would be a lot of tech time "repairing" the lasers, along with the associated risks, and shorter ranges when out of water until recalibrated. My second thought was an add on module like Alpha said. I think both would work with the problems of the first leading to the second. There could even be old bulkier SLDF prototypes that could be found that leads to newer better versions.

Can you blow your 'Mech up on purpose? You could use explosive ammo in your hull plus the 'Mech its self as AE damage

Self Destruct rules already exist

I'd be more concerned about how the driver was able to see anything.

I don't think it got a paper release. I think it's pdf-only.

It just looks a bit top heavy to my eyes, maybe it'll look better in person.

I was being sarcastic. Of course there is "something" wrong with the premium Mad Dog/Vulture. The proportions are completely messed up.

According to the recent AMA on reddit the premium minis don't go through the same QA review that every other mini does, hence issues only being found after release.

Lmao.  This is the kind of answer that's why CGL can't shake their image as a fly-by-night bunch of amateurs.

That might technically be allowed in the rules, but I have issues with a 5 ton hovercraft carrying 6.0 or 7.5 tons of BA.

But the mental image is hilarious.

"How in the hell is that tangled pile of marauder suits breaking 200 kph?"
