(Answered) Shields and AMS
« on: 13 April 2018, 10:04:47 »
Shields apply a +1, +2 or impossible mods to weapon attacks, depending on the weapon location and which mode the shield is in(TO pg 291).  How does this interact with AMS, or Advanced Point Defense(BMM pg 118, IO pg 91).

I presume that an AMS in a location covered by an Active shield cannot fire, just as any other weapons can't be fired, but what about the Inactive and Passive modes?

I'm rarely right... Except when I am.  ---  Idle question.  What is the BV2 of dread?
Apollo's Law- if it needs Clan tech to make it useable, It doesn't deserve those resources in the first place.
Sure it isn't the most practical 'mech ever designed, but it's a hundred ton axe-murderer. If loving that is wrong I don't wanna be right.

AMS and such work unpenalized in these scenarios.
