Code tags might make them easier to sort out in individual posts.

Heheh.

Given how often bartenders tend to keep a shotgun under the bar for emergencies in fiction, I'd have given the bartender NPC the Small Arms Skill, rather than the accountant. :)

I suspect a proper run through a life path build would correct that...  ^-^

Maybe, but c'mon! The goal here, I think, is to build a stable of ready-made generic NPCs by job title. Point-buy is the way to go here, I'd say.

The life module method makes organic characters that really fit the universe, though.  Don't disparage the work you put into that!  :)

Maybe the accountant briefly worked for the mob?  Gotta keep the shotgun handy when the guy who was embezzling from the Don decides to remove you before you figure out how it was being done.

A bunch of stuff came up, so I wasn't able to update or check the thread.

So a few things.
- Yeah, it's basically just generic NPCs in random fields of employment.
- I had considered giving the Bartender a shotgun but wound up building him in a way he could act as a source of gossip and information instead.
- I am using point buy cause I only use life modules when making what I call 'prime NPCs'.

I try to live by "NPCs are people too", but to each their own...  :)

I create generic templates for NPCs. Then, if players become attached to those NPCs, I will flush them out. I do it for all campaigns I run, regardless of system.

I kinda learned it from my first time running a campaign. Realized players will attach themselves to NPCs you may have only planned to be one offs. And instead of having that NPC just kinda vanish, I flushed them out and made them a part of the campaign.
