TRO Legends Website - Anyone Remember This?
« on: 07 December 2019, 20:26:40 »
While recreating the Tarantula from MechWarrior 2, I stumbled across this website which I had forgotten over the years.  It catalogs fluff and barely canon 'mech configurations.  It's interesting how some of these 'mechs, especially the ones from the computer games, now have canonized configurations.

Here it is as an archived website:

The website was last updated in February of 2000, so we've come quite aways over the last 20 years!

Holy Cow! So cool! I loved this site and most most of my page saves in the last crash! Thanks! This was the inspiration for my "Never-Seen" thread!

The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.

I remember the site. The extra notes on each design really helped put them in contex. It and... Longwalker's Archive(?) ...were my first real contact with the BattleTech Extended Universe.
