Seconded.  In other news, a quick search revealed that we don't have a BNC-series Banshee article. . .

Banshee is currently reserved by Scotty, but I'm not sure how far down the pipeline it'd be with his current ASMotW project going on.
Current schedule:

cold1: Bowman
Diplominator: Maelstrom, Bandersnatch
Dragon Cat: Mercury II (maybe?)
Empyrus: Thresher, Raven/Raven II
Fallen Raven: Penetrator
Geovanni Blasini: Chaffee, Quasit
Getz: Legacy
GreekFire: Albatross, Juliano
kotetsu: Vapor Eagle, Rifleman IIC, Warhammer IIC
marauder648: Emperor
Moonsword: Templar (maybe?)

Current requests: Hammer, Celerity, Brigand, Crimson Langur, Snow Fox, Jupiter, Hammerhands

I'll take the Juliano unless someone else wants to grab it.

I see that nobody has posted an article today yet.  In light of the fact that the Banshee is currently scheduled on the Alpha Strike 'Mech of the Week schedule for today, I think I'm going to write a behemoth of an article covering the Banshee in both standard and Alpha Strike, and use the two systems to explain how PV calculations work.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

Excellent! Sounds like a plan, I just came home from work and there's no way I'm ready to post anything.
By the way, if anyone wants to reserve an upcoming Friday just post it here and I'll add it to the schedule.

My article will probably be very late tonight.  I'm on page 4 in word, and I'm just getting into the second variant. :-[

EDIT: I just hit 5k words on variant #6.  This one may not end up being ready before the end of the night.  Damn my overly-thorough nature!

Or did I?  ^-^

The worst part?  In Alpha Strike, the differences between most of them are like... a point of damage.  Merging the article types together has proven to be a very bad (if also very awesome, in terms of what I'm hoping will come out of it) idea.

Anybody know the character limit for a post?

Don't forums like these typically have limit of 20k-25k characters or so?

With TRO:3150 just coming out it looks like I'm gonna delay the Juliano a little bit...gonna have to cover the two new variants as well.

They're not terribly different, but I like the little bit of variety they bring.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Also, as a general announcement: I'm never doing anything like that Banshee article again, so if there's anything else I had reserved you can just strike it from the list. #P

It's next on my list!

That said, tomorrow I'd be ready to put out the Tundra Wolf. It'll be late at night after work though, probably around 23h30 eastern.

Unless there's an objection, I'd like to schedule the Maelstrom for this week so that I have a deadline and actually write the damn thing.

I've got an article on the Black Lanner finished and ready to go.  Let me know when I can post it.  Unless someone else is planning on doing it and has already called dibs, that is.

Phew, i got the Raven/Raven II article done. Nearly 3500 words, 21k characters.
I'd like to post it as a Mech of the Midweek but i can wait later, of course. Any opinions when?

Putting it as a 'Mech of the Midweek is probably fine. The Maelstrom isn't an especially interesting design and seems unlikely to spark much discussion. A big 'ol heap of Raven variants would probably be more fun.

I can give it a look if you'd like, but I wont be able to get to it before Monday evening.
