Finally got curious enough about Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro to check it out. Seemed like a cringey premise, but so far they really made it work. Looking forward to more.

Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway has been pretty good as well. I was a little worried about what direction they were going to take it at first, but any time it leaned the wrong way it quickly returned to wholesome (though it is a very mature story).

Such a single minded character should have been more 2 dimensional and boring, but they avoided that and instead gave us a great hero. Got to respect his dedication to his art. My only issue was the novelty of no one having a name is getting old. Which, now that I think of it, is kind of odd considering that I wouldn't remember their names if they had them.

Turns out I couldn’t do maid Sama.

Found all-out, one of the couple rugby anime out there.
I really am enjoying this one. They do a really good job of showcasing rugby so far.
I coach rugby here in the states, after 9 seasons of playing.
They explain it the way I have always experienced it, I honestly teared up a few times when they were talking about it.

Japan hosted the 2019 World Cup won by South Africa. Japan beat both Ireland (#2 at the time) and Scotland (not important) and made the quarter finals. Japan over the last ten or so years has had a rugby renaissance. In the 2015 rugby World Cup they beat South Africa in pool play and had what is probably top ten scores (tries) ever.

had you seen teh movie? that one was compressed story wise but paceing made it worth it and music score fit every scene

i rarely put any show on anything but stereo but this one because of the music i put it on all 5 speakers and a subwoofer...my neighbors were not around made sure of it and then i let it fly

I'm trying Godzilla Singular Point.

Four episodes in and there's still no Godzilla, just a bunch of pterodactyls they call Rodan, and a "Jet Jaguar" that's about ten feet tall and made out of parts from a junkyard. Lots of generic anime characters, though.

I sure hope so. Netflix's last Godzilla series was a huge letdown and Singular Point has so far felt more like a knockoff of Otherside Picnic with less-interesting characters.

I think there might have been less screentime for Godzilla across 13 episodes of that show than in the 2014 Legendary film. And what screen time he did have seemed to be rather stiff and shrouded in dust clouds most of the time. Really looked like they skimped on the animation budget.

Would have rather watched the 90s cartoon or the Godzilla Power Hour- at least there would have been Godzilla.

So I take that you didn't like story, characters and science behind things. Sure if you only watched it for Godzilla you might not like it but I didn't go in to it thinking that Godzilla being in it is main point of series. It was those other things that kept me hooked to series from episode 1 to episode 13. I do also like how they made Jet Jaguar his own character compared to silent Ultraman inspired robot that he was in that one Showa era movie.
