I kind of wish they had only released the most popular corner of starfield. I know its a canvas for both Bethesda and modders over the next several years but it gets very repetitive the further you go off the beaten path
I love the ship building, the base building is complicated but worth it
I've been inside the
EXACT SAME frozen "Abandoned Lab" at least
THREE TIMES now.
I found it as a random building the 1st and 3rd times, went there specifically on a mission the 2nd. Bunch of Spacers (or Pirates?), with a Quad robot near the exit each time. But I've been Ranking Up my
Security skill, so I've been able to find more loot each time.
And in other
Random Weirdness News, a ship I'd "found" (and didn't have to kill any crew to take!) somehow renamed itself.
I encountered a Bounty Hunter on a planet, they told me to meet them somewhere to take out a Bounty and they'd split it with me. I'd done this once before, so No Problem. Along the way I see this ship. I investigate, no crew, I take off with it and the Bounty mission gets "Updated". I
Guess I took the Bounty Hunter's ship?
Seems like it
WAS called something like Railhaven (Rail "Something" anyway), but after encountering some Ecliptic Jerks on a mission to get the guy that calls you Friendo some Kraken ARs, the game froze. Had to restart, which lost
ALL my progress on that mission.
Got back to the base (where I'd actually landed my ship, but saw something shiny, so I wandered off to check it out before going
BACK to the "Abandoned Hangar" - which
WASN'T!), and saw a ship sitting there, something like "Eclipse Combat Action 01". ???
Weird, name, but whatever. I go to it, I'm able to board it. On board is the "Adoring Fan" (or "Annoying Fan"?), and I didn't have to re-register the damn thing. Later tried talking to a Ship Tech, thinking I could rename it, but couldn't figure out How to do that.
I wanted to name it, "The Randy Capuchin"!
Funny that the name of the ship
HAD been the name of a Motel my Mom's Dad had owned years before I was born! The Rail Haven was in Sikeston, Missouri, though Wiki only mentions one in Springfield, MO.
