While I'm still really disappointed with the arm hardpoint placement of the Phoenix Hawk, I am really enjoying this 'mech.

I'm torn between this, waiting for the Wasp or just sticking with my Urbie for the rare occasions I play.

The Phoenix Hawk is fun.

The order in which the weapons mount on the hardpoints is utterly ******, but overall its a fun ride.  FIX THE HARDPOINTS PGI!!!  Seriously, how the hell does stupid crap like this KEEP HAPPENING?

Oddly enough, what most consider to be the weakest variant, the PXH-1 is the one I've done best in so far and elited first.  Maxed armor, 3 MPL and 3 MGs, Cool Down and Range on the MPLs, Radar Dep and Seismic (trying it for the first time) and the rest is DHS.

My PXH-1B is 4 MPLs, 2 MGs same modules except Seismic (still working on Elite) and more DHS.  ECM is still bullshit as I'm able to ninja around the map way too much.  More often I escort my team, usually the assaults and heavies or those without ECM.  MM regarding ECM is still as ****** as the guy who designed the hardpoint order for the PXH.  Often one team has 4 or more ECM mechs and the other has none.  That is unforgivable bullshit and should be fixed but as has been said far to often, "PGI".

My PXH-1K is 6MLs, 2 in each are 2 in the CT, and again the hardpoint issue shows up.  Radar Dep and ML Range and Cool Down, not elited yet.  Its sad that the jump jets are still visible on the mech even though it has none.

Again, I find the PXH to be a lot of FUN in MWO and over all pretty well balanced.  Sure, I'd like a few more armor or structure buffs as it is pretty fragile, but I can live with it as is as it feels right.  No bullshit like the Blackjack was (and slightly still is) or the Artic Cheeter, Firestarter...etc.

That and I don't want to come off like those whiny "muh exploits" light mech drivers.   >:D

I do wish it was scaled smaller as IMO it is a bit too large overall.  Again, not game breakingly bad.

Looks wise, it is not as sexy as the concept art, but it does standout out and is recognizable as a PXH.

The Roc version looks interesting with the missile ports and I was tempted, but not enough to pay $15.00.

BTW, the resize on the QKD series looks pretty good, and that has become even more fun to drive.

I like the PXH.  It is a tad fragile, but a lot of fun.

the dynamic hardpoints system is actually pretty clunky and poorly thought out when you look at it, but they're about minimum viable effort so as long as it functions they're not fixing it.

It seems to me that especially those arms are fragile and easily destructible.

Yeah. And the unfortunate Pixie pilot will then experience "Death in the Afternoon".  #P
