Just a collection of shots of various terrain sets and table set ups I've worked on assembling over the course of that last few years. Mostly 3D printed terrain. And Predominately used for Alpha Strike though not always

Great looking stuff!
That one building looks to be the Retail Megastore from Hardware Studios.
It's on my list as a gift to me later this summer.
Though-it may have been removed as a printed item.
Are any of the other buildings able to have plexiglass used for windows and if
so where are they from ?
I like to put plexiglass in the windows of my buildings and place remote control
LEDs inside to get a lit window effect.
Thanks for any info and for posting those great pics!

A beautiful place.

Why use plexi-glass? I go get the colored binder slips and cut them to need. Easier to cut, lighter to place, easier to store extra, and cheaper. Some buildings get the gold/silver/blue foil paper from hobby stores as well.

Plexiglass transmits light more like a window... 8)
Yes, it's a subtle difference, but it's not that much more expensive.

THIS exactly.
I've used the color binder strips for windows as well-but once I started putting LEDs in them the
difference is extremely noticeable. Plexiglass gives a much more realistic appearance.
The biggest problem I've had recently is that even if manufacturers product is consistant-so far
their choice of coating is not.
Some use a nice clear blue protective coating, some use a white coating, some brown, and others use
a white coating with all sorts of letters and symbols printed on it. Adds never tell you which one
and if you ask they say the lots are different.
My preference is for the unmarked white coating for most buildings because it allows you to choose the
color the glass will look like with your LED remote while blurring the led itself for an even color.
Blue is good if your using non-colored LEDs but you kind of have to hide the LED itself to make
the lighting look even.
I need to get off my but and finish what I have and make some threads but I've been to busy lately.

The only ones that have the hollowed windows for inserts are the hardware studios ones, I wish more did that as it is a better way of doing them IMO. I've never used plexiglass before but I might switch to that. I know the effect you are talking about, it just never occured to me. I'm sure it looks better though.

I have not seen plexiglass in the hardware store and I was not sure how I would cut it really, so that is why I used the other.
I have bought buildings from Outland Models which are pretty good and I think they sent one with a thin sheet to be 'blue' windows for the office buildings.

Plexiglass should be available from any of the big box home improvement stores these days...

They sell it at both Lowes and Home Depot. It is back in the construction material's area not too far from their lumber section. It is sold as "acrylic sheets/panels"
You can score it and break it along the score lines, touch up the edges with a Dremel

It's available but the stuff they stock is often a little thick to work with.
I order mine off Amazon. I'd give a link but I'm not sure if we're allowed to.
I've used various sellers based on what's available at the time but usually the brand
is Plastics 2000.
Mine basically say " Lexan Sheet Polycarbonate , 0.30" thick / 1/32" thick Clear color.
These can be cut with good scissors.Thicker is harder to work with.
You might be surprised as these are often cheaper then what's available at the local
hardware store-even with shipping factored in.Thinner as well.
Hope that's helpful.
Thanks for the response Rougarou Rhapsody. Guess I'll buy some more Hardware Studios
buildings until I find another suitable maker for lit buildings.Their stuff is great but
I like to have variety.

I think links would be OK if you clear them with the Mods first... :)
