I would care more if it were a Firemoth. A MechWarrior game has yet to feature all sixteen of the original Clan omnimechs as playable units.

The machine gun one must be a beast if they get close range with it. Machine guns, no heat, bam bam bam bam.
Good Luck surviving long enough to use them though!
Sadly, the main purpose of the Mech isn't a part of the game, Infantry. Its a cool image but i don't know how well this thing will do. Sexy as picture is.

Yawn. Would rather have a Falconer, Penetrator, Crusader, or Fafnir. Actually, I can think of a lot of mechs just off the top of my head that would, well... anyway. :-X

The Vatborns did need a 'Mech in this weight band and sadly Dasher is still off the table :(

Well, I like the concept art.
But I'm not interested in this mech at all...just seems too "gimicky" to me for some reason, although I do find the potential of some of the loadouts/hardpoints interesting.
Maybe in a year when its available for C-Bills I'll try one out.
Did the reinforcements mechs not sell well? Haven't seen much of the Osiris, Nightstar (blech), Arctic Wolf (the only time I saw one it went down so fast to combined fire there wasn't much to look at) nor the Nova Cat, which looked interesting.

Nightstar could be good machine depending on what quirks it has. I think NovaCat is classic shoe in to be best of the herd.

Nova Cat has low mounts but a good shield arm.
Nightstar... I dunno. Fat side torsos may have killed it. I see the Osiris just as little.
As for the Arctic Wolf, that's the only one I still see consistently. I see a few Nova Cats here and there, but... They always seem to be running incredibly bad builds that would be better used by, say, a Hellbringer.

Putting the Fire Moth in would require PGI to do actual work and fix a speed glitch. It's easier to grab cash.

I got the collector's pack but have been relucant to play with it. My assumption was that the Piranha was going to be an easy kill. Paper thin armor, no ECM, and a bank of ammunition dependent weapons. Even the laser heavy variants just looked like a shutdown and immediate death.
Having played with the primary variant a bit, I am impressed with it. I think this Mech is going to be very underappreciated. In fact other players seem to ignore it altogether. It's definitely a different animal than most other Mechs I have played with. It's a knife in the back. While the enemy team is focused on the Atlas or Kodiak, the Piranha runs in behind them and rips open their CT then runs like hell before anyone notices. Sure that's the game plan for a lot of fast/light Mechs. But the speed at which 12 MGs can open up a Mech and start eating internal components is scary. Late in the match when everyone has holes in their torsos the Piranha feels like cheating.

Quite honestly, I hate the lil bugger. Lost my Timberwolf to one TWICE. It's tiny, difficult to spot and fast. Runs up behind you and chews through the rear armor before you can turn around quick enough to dispatch it. Nasty bastard.

Really? I've found them nearly pathetic. I've back-shot a few in a stealthed Enforcer, and a few times bullied them until they died with a Yen Lo Wang. Have yet to die to one, even when crippled.
