Per TechManual p. 148/9, infantry weapons come in four damage types: Ballistic, Energy, Missile, or Physical/Point-blank. Presumably, platoons armed with energy weapons inflict only half damage to 'Mechs or vehicles using TacOps reflective armor, platoons with missiles can have their attacks reduced by anti-missile systems, and so on.
How do I determine a platoon's overall damage type if its primary and secondary weapons have different damage types, though? Say a motorized platoon is armed with both laser rifles (energy) and 1-2 support SRMs per squad (missiles); is its overall damage type Energy? Missile? Both? Depending on the number of secondary weapons per squad, as the final range values already are?
