Maybe he shook Wentz's hand and didn't realize he hadn't played.  ;)

My favorite SBLII news story making the rounds is whether or not Tom Brady is a sore loser:  he's now 0 for 3 for shaking the opposing QB's hand when losing the Super Bowl!  I'm sure it won't seriously affect the discussion about his probable GOAT status... but still a GOAT should at least not be a whiny bitch, amirite?

Well if he's 0 for three in shaking hands of losing SB matches then why is he considered a GOAT?

I wouldn't consider him GOAT for that and other reasons for sure.

And not a total blowout, nicely done with keeping the scores from getting too far apart - a lot of 'yeah, we're still in this' from the Patriots, and a really tense fourth as far as the scoring went.

If the Eagles hadn't so heavily covered their end zone for that last Hail Mary, it very well could've been a touchdown, and I wouldn't bet against the Pats being able to make the two-point conversion.

I did read an amusing rant about how overrated Brady is, at least to the rant's author, but I was genuinely impressed with his performance. His attitude seems like it could use work, but he's really a decent ballplayer.

I have to admit.  Despite all the controversy, rules changes that really favor the passing game, and lack of quality opponents Tom Brady still can throw the ball.

But GOAT?  No, but certainly ground for debate on the matter.

Well, Josh McDaniels just screwed the entire Colts organization. He changed his mind and is staying in Boston. It took him a season and a half to screw the Broncos over and he did the Colts over without even coaching a game.

No, I just can't call him that. His stats are solid, but until he can be a better ambassador for the game and his team, he cannot be the "best." We have to remember that football is, ultimately, entertainment; a particularly brutal form of entertainment that cripples some of the people out there trying to entertain us. Brady has to show compassion, humility, and good humor before I will consider him to be GOAT.

The Cowboys lost their assistant defensive coordinator/"passing game" coordinator to be the Colt's defensive coordinator. I wonder what happens to him now that McDaniels has backed out and he's been replaced at his old job.

It leaves me a bit torn.  I want the guy to settle on one sport and focus but I also want to make sure he's getting what he wants because without him Seattle is in huge trouble.

With that O line i’d play baseball too

Speaking of quarterbacks, who is going to criminally overpay for Cousins now that Garoppolo turned six wins into $28m a year

Hopefully not the Broncos. Cousins is going to cost about $30M/year and he's not Brees/Rodgers/Brady. He's not that good IMO. I'd rather the Broncos grab one of the Vikings castoffs as bridge QB on a 2-year deal and then draft a rookie QB and give him the tutelage he needs.

A for who signs the Vikes/Jags (if he wants to win now) or Browns/Jets (if he's all about the money)

The gun show is closing.

NFL referee Ed Hochuli has retired, the league announced Tuesday, ending a colorful career that made him one of the most recognized game officials in American sports.

I have spoken.

Because he was one of the better refs in the game and his name and how fit he was lent to some good memes.  Like his nickname of Ed Hercules.
