Is the next game the 19th or is it the deadline for the information?

deadline

It makes sense to me. They have likely permission to use it.  Likely this going appear at some point on MW5 Clans too.

Maybe we'll get to hunt the Minnesota Tribe...

Is it worth sending a request to review the s/h charges? I'm at 20% of a $540 order ($101).  It certainly is better than the 30% that I was hit w/first.

I wouldn't bother until they send the "we're done" e-mail.

(forgot to post the link)

i think those are cargoships? which given those are far bigger than even the biggest battleships, kinda work as an illustration.

Technically, it's not spelled out that any or all of them are still around as of June 3152, as the updates in their home region of space extend only as far as 3151 at this time of typing.

That said, I'm interested to see more of what lies in store for Khan Magon Scott, zarKhan Emmy Line, and Star Colonel (and possibly the new saKhan?) Rudolf Schmidt, not least as and when definitive news from Terra reaches the Scorpion Empire.

On the one hand, there is the interesting dynamic of ex-Hansa MechWarriors gaining an increased presence in the Empire's military and civilian leadership. And how well - or badly - this new development might be received among those in the touman representing the various constituent peoples of the pre-3140 Imperio.

On the other hand, with their new holding in the Chaine Cluster as a forward observation point, and with the means of running a fully functional HPG network in their back pocket, what manner of diplomatic stance might the Empire's leadership take when the time comes to negotiate with Alaric Ward's ilClan Wolf - to include seeing whether or not the new Star League Council might agree to un-Abjure Clan Goliath Scorpion?

Plus, with ongoing Seeker quests continuing to be launched,  to what extent might this act as a "wild card", in terms of either helping or hindering the Khan and zarKhan's foreign policy? Or rather, now that the Scorpions are being obliged to take such a thing as "foreign policy" seriously, at least more so than at any time since the Abjuration from the Homeworlds, to what extent might they re-frame their ongoing commitment to the Seeker movement in light of this?

It’s would be just nice waiting ever since Wed at Adepticon. Just kinda bummed that the stuff isn’t ready yet.

This popped up on Reddit.   HMS Hood under construction in Clydebank, Scotland, approximately 1916-1917.

Found this interesting, given the John Brown shipyard has so many cranes surrounding the ship being built.  I hadn't realized they needed so many back then.
When you think about it, makes sense - everything needs to be lifted into the hull, and more cranes means more progress per day.

looks like there are 3 empty construction slips alongside.. but the slip it is in still has something like 8 cranes. which no doubt were working round the clock. of course at the time the ships were literally built keel up from frames and plates in situe.. you needed a lot of cranes and workers to assemble them in a reasonable time. modern ships tend to be built more as vertical slices end to end, or at least in large chunks. with the chunks being built elsewhere then moves into place. which lets them get away with one or two very large cranes, and fewer workers, but also produce much larger ships.
(hopefulyl these pics show up)

Oof that Pinion

A Mauler rebuild the DCMS has been throwing together to use of old equipment and chassis lying around. While much more survivable, the frames are seen more as garrison/punishment duty for those Samurai that failed one too many times. Often these Mauler stick around bases as defensive units.

General BattleTech Discussion / Re: Project Aphrodite

The limit seems to be the "mermaids" of Frobisher, who are dying out. The Genecaste are fun, but definitively don't exist in universe (the recent Clan Spaniel sourcebook explains the origin of that conspiracy theory).
