For more details see the Annoucement (http://www.ironwindmetals.com/index.php/13-battletech/43-new-battletech-releases-for-sale).
Also, if you look at the link to the Release Schedule the 4th Quarter Releases have been added.
-
*blinks* Awesome.
-
Are the other Gun variants going to make it into the store?
-
I didn't know there was going to be another Centurion sculpt. It looks good, but what were the reasons for a third version?

Often, when a mold wears out, the piece is resculpted. This is actually the fourth (at least) sculpt of the Centurion; the first two were similar, but one was two parts (upper and lower halves) and the other was just one.

4th Quarter 2016 Distribution Releases
20-5140 Ostscout OTT-7J
20-5141 Shadow Hawk SHD-2H
speck - just to confirm this is not a typo and that these are the first release of "classic" (aka nu-seen) mechs in pewter
If so, [drool]

this one has ELBOWS! That is reason enough.

I mean... it is not the Warhammer, Griffin, or Valkyrie. but yes, this will do.

You've been busy speck. Thank you!

I didn't know there was going to be another Centurion sculpt. It looks good, but what were the reasons for a third version?
A fun project that was worked on in conjunction with the Centurion Omni. That's it mainly. IWM was interested, and it is more in line with the current scale. The Centurion Omni actually has the basic skeleton of the new Centurion as it's skeleton, and they are the same height.
It's not currently replacing the current sculpt.
-
I just bought a trio of Unseen Shadow Hawks, too. ;D The big one I'm waiting on is the Marauder, because screw secondary market prices on those.
Also, for those who follow my big ol' minis list (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tjhEPDAXcpDB_grTXYfvRM0xpL5sk1whacuQwh2Kgv4/edit?usp=sharing), I've updated it.
-
Yeah, sure, nice and all, but where the hell is my locust?
(I kid. :P You people make it hard enough to avoid blowing tons and tons of money as it is.)
-
Any chance the Red Reaper will show up anytime soon? You had it at Origins and I had my hopes up :)
-

Drool a lot...it's not a typo!
-
Are the other Gun variants going to make it into the store?
Yes, they will. My goal this weekend was distro release, oldest items in backlog and the two fan finance mechs.

Yes, should have been there but looks like import failed. Will add it today.

Yes they are the start of the new classic designs in metal.

Black Knight Red Reaper is now fixed.

Cheers and many thanks speck, that is awesome news.
Now I have to save up some funds so that I can add them all to my personal Brian Cache as well as stock up my miniature pewter arms dealership.
-

Thank you :)
Now to get my German retailer to add it to the shop and then put together an order ... :)
-
Getting my order planned.
-
Thanks, Speck.

Yes they are the start of the new classic designs in metal.
Now that you said that the new classics come out I wonder if it´s worth delaying my current order. Is it? Presumably when will those classics come out?

The first classics are fourth quarter releases, so can you wait four to six months?
-
One question I have about the new Classics (and I fully understand that the question may be one that can't be answered either for reasons of confidentiality or "we haven't gotten to that stage in the process yet"):
How many pieces are you projecting the Shadow Hawk to be broken in to, and what is the complexity of its assembly reckoned to be? I just ask as I remember some of the earlier releases that came with a multiplicity of teeny-tiny fiddly parts...
-
Assembly on the Shad is very deliberately being kept modest. I understand where the fear is coming from; I was around when the first Reseens came out too. Right leg/hip, left leg, torso, arms, AC, SRM. The SRM will be fiddly, but that was necessary for... reasons. :-X
-
I'd say it doesn't look too complicated at all.

Anyone have pics of the new ostscout as well? I know both are Q4 releases but kinda bummed the Shad gets all the sexy pics and the Ost is alone in the dark... :'(
-
(some of the Q4 stuff may not even be sculpted yet)

There are no pictures of a finished product of the Ostscout. This was done in CAD and was just recently sent to our printer.
-
Thanks speck, hope it turns out as nice as the Shadow Hawk.
-
Looking forward to that Orca!

Any chance we could get photos of the Hackmaster minis? I'm interested in them for my D&D group.

The 24 we had for sale at gen con will be up on the web store soon for sale with images ( we will be updating images of them over time)

Hackmaster minis? Can someone please elaborate on these?

Isn't it beautiful was able to pick up a copy from Gen Con and will have a friend build it and paint it and get pics up of it.
-
Glad it's out finally, i'm off pick up two of them.
-
Anyone hear any hints on the Ostscout yet?
-
Nothing beyond the initial information that it is planned for Q4 2016 release.
-
Anyone hear any hints on the Ostscout yet?
It is still a 4th Quarter release. I know it has been sent off to the printer but not sure if we received it back yet.
-
Can't wait to see how it looks. Should have a nice order for IWM come x-mas if its up on the store.
-
So I noticed the new Wusun and Ostrogoth micro fighters on the web store. Any plans for mech scale versions?
-
So I noticed the new Wusun and Ostrogoth micro fighters on the web store. Any plans for mech scale versions?
They were fan financed completely by a single fan. If anyone steps up with an urge to finance if, I'd be more the willing to expanding to mech scale!
-
Do we have 2017 Q1 release schedule yet? Thx!
-
nothing official, but the Goshawk II, Loki Mk. II, Ostscout, and Sarath showed up on my FLGS's preorder list. Take that with whatever number of grains of salt you apply to that kind of information.
-
Goshawk II !?! [drool] [drool] :Jumpy: :Jumpy:
My wallet is already crying from the exchange rate #P #P
-
I will update the release schedule on the website this week, but below is the 1st Quarter for 2017
1st Quarter 2017
20-5142 Loki II Prime
20-5143 Sarah SRTH-10 Prime
20-5144 Goshawk II (Standard)
20-5145 Wasp WSP-1A
-
Ooh, I'm gonna buy so many wasps...
-
Wasp! Nice!
- Shane
-
Wasp a nice surprise ^-^
-
Wasp a nice surprise ^-^
That one stings. :P
- Shane
-
Golly goshawk, too much? I did not think anybody would be offended. Loki for me that TPTB have not yet hit me with a warning over the bad puns as yet.
^-^
-
Any pics of the Ostscout yet??
-
Make sure that you have a lot of Wasps ready when you release them. ;)
-
Goshawk II and Loki II, these will be really nice.
-
Which book had the new wasp art anyway??
Nevermind, 1st Succession War book.
-
Loki II is what I'm eyeing.....want....
-
Thanks Speck!
-
Wasp, Loki, and Goshawk? Sounds like a good release lineup! Will need at least 2 or 3 wasps, if not more.
-
More like a company :D
And a company of S. Hawks
And a lance of Ostscouts (they better look good!!)
-
Any update on the release for the Ostscout? Want to put my order in at the new flgs in the next week or two and really want to include a pair or lance of ostscouts.
-
Speck - I will assist you with this one if it is ok? It sounds like you guys at IWM are a bit busy at the moment . . .

Yep...these are already out & available, but typically it's about a month before they show up on IWM's site to allow retailers a chance to sell them first.
-
Unfortunately, Melissa recently shipped an order for me which USPS International tracking is showing is currently sitting in Dubai. So I will probably be waiting 3-4 months before I put in my next order and get my hands on some Ostscouts for my ebay store :'(
-
Nice, so will have them in my order then. Just need to build the rest of it ;D
-

Not on a Harbin ship, I hope ...
-
Neg. I assume it was flying in the hold of an Airbus, as of this morning it has made landfall in Aus.
-
Ostscout - Has travelled!
-
Any news on a release date for the Wasp beyond Q1? Hoping I can place an order with my flgs in Jan but...
-
Not yet complete, so I wouldn't count on it before February, given a natural slowdown around the holidays. IWM generally wants the master in-hand 6 weeks before release, and release to distribution before selling direct. Knowing that they allow of month or so before offering new releases on their site, that points to the later side of Q1 if ordering from IWM.
-
Well, it would be through the new game store that opened up. It actually seems busier than the one that closed around May with many many happy people. Keep harping on them to finish getting setup with IWM... I've got money burning a hole in my pocket waiting to purchase a lance of Shadow Hakws and a pair of Ostscouts. Had my fingers crossed to add Wasps sometime in Jan but I guess I can wait... at least they aren't Q1 2018 or ??? like the new intro box Randall mentioned.
-
Soo... another annoying question. When will the 2017 release schedule be up, or at the very least what will the order code for the Wasp be so I can make a list for the local store.
-
Just look up in the thread!
I will update the release schedule on the website this week, but below is the 1st Quarter for 2017
1st Quarter 2017

Does anyone have pics of the new highlander variants. I'm interested in placing an order but don't want to buy what I can't see
-
Photos (http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=45981.msg1082668#msg1082668) from B-3 (the sculptor) of the master for the new Highlander mini.
Photos (http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=45981.msg1082766#msg1082766) of the variants (some of which may not be released yet, unsure due to lack of time and energy to keep up with all the latest developments).
-
The variants are available. -734 in Lion City Stables, and -738 in Lyran Guards colours:
-
Wow, Psycho, you have done amazing work with those two (I am assuming that those are your work), they looking beautiful.
-
Thanks! The good thing with these is that they paint up well. No poop-polishing here. They're big, well-detailed minis that should take just about any scheme and make it look good. Fair warning though, they've got a lot of pieces to deal with. We're talking mid- to high-teens for part count. Some of that is from the alternate weapons all being separate and going over the built-in parts for the -732, but we're still looking at 3 pieces per leg.
-
Very well polished paint job, Psycho. I may end up picking up one. I don't really need it, but it's less ugly than the two current molds i have.
-
I don't really need it, but it's less ugly than the two current molds i have.
That has to be one of the funniest excuses I've seen for buying minis. ;D O0
"Sure it's ugly, but it isn't AS ugly as the others." :D
-
I have added some new items to the New Releases Category (http://ironwindmetals.com/store/index.php?cPath=16_234). I will be updating the release schedule on the frontage of IWM site soon as well.
-
Very nice, the Triskelion turned out to be great looker from what the picture reveals. Yen-Low-Wang pretty nice, i guess it also could act as Centurion's AH variant since their both armed similar without the "Wolverine" claws on the hand.
Vandal looks neat as well.
-
Bakeneko! Yay!
I've been meaning to stop by an pick up a missing piece for an Avatar I bought anyway, so I'll have to pick up a Bakeneko while I'm there. Looks like Christmas is coming early!
-
I don't really have a need for the new Centurion, but its such a great looking mini I'm going to have to add two of them to my next order. ^-^
-
Hold on, we are getting a Classic Wasp? In metal? Sounds like I need to contact the FLGS.
-
I assume we will see all the classics sooner or later as metal mini.
-
Sure but there were only a few they were releasing as metal until the plastic comes out. I want my classic Marauder . . . and the picture has just been a tease.
-
Hey Speck, I just noticed this.
Ostscout OTT-7J [20-5140] - "This product was added to our catalog on Saturday 09 July, 2016."
This is off by a few months, isn't it? ??? Isn't this the Revised Ostscout?
It has the same "added to" date for the Centurion CN9-YLW / CN9-YLW2 "Yen Lo Wang"[BT-395] as well. :-\
-
I believe that is the date that he added it to the website even if it wasn't visible.
-
Sure but there were only a few they were releasing as metal until the plastic comes out. I want my classic Marauder . . . and the picture has just been a tease.
I'm wondering if they may be rethinking that slightly -- FWIR, the only metal ones that were coming out before the plastics were the SHD and OTT, and that was just to tide us over while they were negotiating and gearing up for the plastic releases. Everything else was supposedly to be released in plastic first and only then would IWM be given the go-ahead to make metal versions. It may be that they hit a snag with overseas vendors and so authorized a few more metal ones to cover the gap.
If this is true, can I put the squeak in for a BattleMaster? ;)
-
I really hope the Wasp is released before I run out of money... I want to order a few lances of them.

Does not mean anything, I copied another product record when I added those two to the online store.

Did this get added to the release schedule on IWM'so site?
-
Last I checked (a few days ago) it hadn't. The site was still showing the old 2016 release schedule.
-
Will IWM be updating with quarter 2 releases soon now that we're in quarter 1?
-
Will IWM be updating with quarter 2 releases soon now that we're in quarter 1?
Yes, I will be doing that here soon. Been behind on things last month or so. Have been house hunting and then now in the process of buying a house. So have been packing things up since we should be moving in the next two to three weeks. I want to get a few things done before I have to pack my computer to move it.
-
Congrats on the new house!
-
Congrats on the new house!
Thanks, did not realize how many minis I had until I packed up everything to move.
-
Thanks, did not realize how many minis I had until I packed up everything to move.
I don't think ANY BT Collector "Knows" how many minis they own until they start gathering them up for whatever reason. :D I keep "finding" some I'd forgotten about while looking for something else, and can't find some that I KNOW that I have. "Somewhere". #P
If you ever get a chance, you need to post a pic of at least part of your BT mini Collection Speck, like the ones you take to Gen Con each year. O0
-
Speck - congrats on the new house. One of the joys of homeownership is never having to pack up your possession to move ever again unless you decide you want to do so.

205, because I have my entire BT mini inventory in a spreadsheet :-[
Yes, I am CDO - it is like OCD but in alphabetical order.
-
I have a pretty good inventory of everything that is not painted, with count and location. I update it pretty often. I have another list for most of my painted stuff, but that has not been updated in quite some time. So all the nice painted stuff my brother did for display makes up most of the stuff I need to add.
Once I am moved in I want to organize all of the painted stuff not in my list.
-

My congratulations, and also my condolences.
I went through that last year.
-
I keep meaning to organize my collection into a spreadsheet so I can find what shelf something is on easier than staring blankly, but I'm doing so little painting these days (and so little Battletech) that it hardly seems worth the effort right now. Maybe someday. :-\
-
(and so little Battletech)
Blasphemy! Heretic!!... >:/!
-
Just remember to put all your minis on your home owner insurance.
-
Great Ghu, do you know how much that'd cost in premiums?
I mean, I have about 3K paperbacks. Home & contents covers $300 in "general", then I'd have to insure each one above that. :o
Shudder to think about insuring minis as well ...

Time to sit down and make an inventory list. lol
"One limited edition jumping Atlas... um... $60?"
"Probably more like $40..."
"No way. I paid $50!"
...1 hour later...
"Ok. Next mini."
-
Quick question Speck, if you can answer that is. So far with the exception of the Ostscout all of the released or upcoming releases for the classics seem to be from the 1st Succession Wars book. As such does this mean we may see the Wolverine and Locust in Q3/Q4?
Just curious as so far it follows the pattern I do hope that is the case as I can't wait to see those two mechs sculpted and for sale sooner rather than later. {>{>

That is sort of by accident, the Classics we are able to do are coming off a list given to us by Catalyst.
-
What a horribly mean coincidence that is lol :P :'( [##]
Thanks for the quick response.
But by chance are either of those listed units on that list?? Or depending on what you are able to tell us, how many more classics are left on that list.
-
[watch]

Speck... Is the Prim. Orion slated for 3rd quarter? Thanks, man.

No those are not on the list. If one per quarter, two left this year and four next. So around 6 mechs on the list, maybe 7. I would have to go back at emails and look.
Speck... Is the Prim. Orion slated for 3rd quarter? Thanks, man.
I think that was shifted to Web Only release due to other priorities when we finalized the release schedule. The goal is to have it out by convention time or before depending on mold room priorities.
-
Thanks again Speck, can't wait to see what other classics are getting released this year. Sad to hear about the Wolverine and Locust though.
-
No Locust this year? [AAAH] :'(
-

Out of my control, sorry.....

I understand. Just the same...

Speck, any word on when we might see the new Warhammer in Metal, since it has appeared in "Prototype Plastic" already? ???
Need I mention how stupid it sounds, and how much it SUCKS that IWM has to Wait for "Permission" from CGL to create the new minis in metal. :P ::) >:(

Well the New Classics is there project and so we need to work with them on the timeline they have set for there development. They are still creating and modeling for many of the designs. So we are working within the area that we have worked out with Catalyst for release of metal versions.

I think the modelling for the Warhammer and Locust was done first. At least, those were the ones showcased a year or two ago.
-
That reminds me, is the Bakeneko actually molded and available now? I stooped by IWM towards the end of December to pick one up, and there weren't any on hand yet for me to buy.
Actually, I guess a better question might be, since I'm local, is it better to put in a web order and ask that it be held for pickup, or just show up and let the nice lady out front know I'd like to exchange money for goods?
-
BT-401
Bakeneko BKN-1K - Released
55
$ 12.95
It says it was a web only release.

That mech is out, it's on the webstore. Depending on when you were there is of it was done. Late December when it was released.
If you can stop in to the shop that would work better for you.
