He started with the B-17.  I finished the design, and then he joked about doing the B-52

What, no B-36?

What, no B-36?

It doesn't really offer much, since it's kind of a slightly smaller, slower B-52 with possibly lower tech, and its odd jet + prop config makes building it a bit odd.  I also thought about an NB-36 or X-6, except that the original plan called for fission-powered turbojets, rather than turboprops.  I could instead do the Tu-119, but that's mixed kerosine turboprops and nuclear turboprops, too.

I don't think there were any planned fully-prop-driven nuclear-powered aircraft projects, so anything I build there would be essentially net new or alternate history.  Which, I suppose, is doable.

There's always Project Pluto...

Huh.  Yeah.  That’s weird.  It’s got like 30 tons of cargo.  Not sure what’s up with that, but I’ll get the exact amount when I boot up my PC next time.

I think you're thinking of the B-25 and it was a 75. You'd run into the item limits real fast though

There is the P.108 with a 102mm gun. Not a lot of MGs, thought.

Fixed the B-52 cargo.  Continue to be amazed how low the B-17's internal bomb load was.

Yeah.  B-25 is around 16 tons.  Trying to cram everything into that is brutal.

3 tons was 24x250 pound bombs... nothing to sneeze at, really.  "Small" BT bombs run 500 kg, or a bit over 1,000 pounds.

True.  And six bombs isn't an awful bombload, though it's admittedly a bit on the slow side these days...
