Domestic problems aren't really a suprise TBH, the MOC seems to have largely caught up, technologicly with the CC by now soi the big carrot is reduced. I imagine it's becoming increasingly hard to justify using MAF troops as basicly glorified mercenries for Liao ambitions

Not saying it was a surprise; this has been brewing since as far back as the Capellan Crusades, and seems to be reaching a breaking point now that the metaplot has shifted direction (there's a clear shift in writing from FM3145 to now in regards the Capellan/Canopian/Andurien alliance) and Daoshen is now hyper-focused on Terra to the exclusion of literally everything else, including Andurien poaching some of the CapCon's worlds.

Depending on IKEO's timeframe compared with Empire Alone, that unrest might be happening simultaneously. Ilsa hasn't yet appeared to have recalled any Canopian units in the CapCon, and it's definitely causing her domestic problems in the current timeframe.

I assume that the Commonwealth will take advantage of the now defensless Wolf Empire. One of her Margraves already visited the Dragoons so I would assume they know that the Empire is just as defensless as most of the Falcon OZ. Oh yeah maybe we might get another Steiner character for the list of important persons (said Margrave who is managinmg the border with the League and Empire)

but... they haven't.

I did logged back in, it shows outdated versions. The downloaded files are also outdated ones.

I don't think anyone has done what you suggest. Not even the Foxes.

They converted their Potemkins into mobile factories by permanently fusing dropships to their hulls and turning them into flying communities, space stations really, just with mobility. At that scale, a fully loaded Potemkin with lots of dropships fused to its hull, some for storage, some as factories, some as living spaces, that's doable because that's a lot of space to work with.

I don't think we've ever seen a single mobile dropship factory design (as a single dropship not fused to something).

I suspect because dropships and dropship collars are just too valuable for other things. Making a factory mobile is hard and complicated, and to do it right you'd also need to give people living space and amenities.

Yes Catalyst updates the files from their webstore, you just have to login and download the files again.

General BattleTech Discussion / Does CGL store purchase receive updates
« Last post by sneo on Today at 13:18:25 »
I would like to find out if the pdf is updated via CGL store after purchase. I bought all the rulebooks but seems theres a difference in version vs printings. E.g Total Warfare is on 10th printing and Battlemech manual is on 5th printing in my downloadable files. The curious thing to note is DrivethruRPG’s preview for BMM is showing 7th printing.

Well Brewer managed to survive losing the Archonship, and he's a pretty smart operator, so I can see him coming out on top in case of Rasalhauge Dominion or Hell's Horses invasion. Sarah Regis and the Falcon splinter groups seem like the more militarily powerful groups, and both Clans have bones to pick with the Falcons.  The Kell Hounds are pretty much the only military lifeline Steiner has in the Hinterlands right now other then some LIC stuff, as Trillian has to deal with the Timbuktu situation so she can rebuild her trust at home along with whatever adventures she decides to take against Marik. She'd be better off putting the Commonwealth back together then worrying about leftover Jade Falcon scraps that are facing potential invasions.

Perhaps a more all Clan question but did any clan actually utilize a mobile factory concept with their Potemkins while they were in Clan space? I feel that this concept only came when the Foxes had relocated to the Is and other clans like the Wolves and Falcons copied it. Kind of an interesting idea like one Clan sends one Potemkin filled with Mobile factory Dropships to some rock where they simply strip mine resources and then build right on the ships instead of simply returning to a planetary holding
