On page 185 Technical manual PDF (Latest edition AFAIK, at least I've not gotten product update notification) it says that Conventional fighters cannot mount anything but ICE engine and Standard Fusion. Okay that's fine.
And yet pages 307-309 of Tactical Operations explicitly says that Conventional Fighters can mount Large Fusion Light, XL and XXL engines, and normal sized XXL engines (It also says Vehicle Fission but that is less weird by comparison)
There seems to be a major disconnect that it can mount XXL engines and Large Light and XL yet not standard size Light or XL Engine?
I'm not sure if this should be in Tactical Operations Section or Technical manual and I can't find any relevant question about this asked.
EDIT: I should add that I have looked through all Errata I can find and found nothing on that subject
