Does the Remote Drone Command Console (Interstellar Operations: Alternate Eras page 84) count as a cockpit 'that requires additional critical hit slots' for the purposes of mounting on an LAM? (Interstellar Operations: Alternate Eras page 108)
The text makes it pretty clear you can't mount it on the same machine as a command console, and the fluff goes on to describe it as a dual cockpit setup, so I'm assuming 'it counts as a cockpit', but figured I should get a direct ruling on it.
