OK, the buttkicking my work delivery annually is starting off a little early. Won't be hosting anything until January, likely.

Others should feel free to step in and run their own stuff.

Need a refresher? I can do 1 on 1's much easier than prepping for a campaign event. Just drop me a PM and we'll work out the details.
The solution is just ignore Paul.

There is a side mission that is part of the campaign i am running.  It doesn't directly involve the company my campaign is centered around, but the outcome of that will have an effect.

I can run that at Games and Stuff if people are interested.  Its set in 3044 and its FedCom vs Kurita.

Did you hear about the LEGO store grand opening?  People were lined up for blocks...

If people arent interested in the side mission for my campaign, I can run something else.

FedCom Civil War, Wolf vs Jade Falcon Refusal War.  Or maybe just do a random team game where people bring their own list of stuff to play.

If anyone is interested, I might like to run the scenarios from the KS.

Playing is playing as far as I'm concerned... it's just the logistics that are a question.

Cubby, if you want to run a game in November, i can join in on that as long as it isn't the 9th; that's when I am running my next game.  If you run your game in December, I wont be able to join due to my work schedule and holiday plans; but dont let that deter you from running a game.

Cubby, if you are wanting to run something in december on either the 7 or 14th let me know.  That way I am not scheduling a game for the VA group on the same weekend.

Dec. 7 is PAX Unplugged, so maybe let's go for the 14th?

I know the group that posts events here play in Glen Burnie; which shouldn't be too far from Baltimore.

Yep, just south of it.

My work's making it hard for me to run anything sooner than January or probably February though. Other people may host, and tend to post in this thread.

There's a group who meets weekly on Mondays to play Alpha Strike.

Either way, it's worth checking out the store:

The last time I was there, they had just gotten in a new batch of AGoAC box sets, AND the owner was looking for BattleTech GMs.  Definitely worth checking them out!

I've heard that Ed is aiming to do something on the 7th december at G&S but that's not locked in yet, though I'm still hoping to hear something from Cubby.

Dec. 7 is PAX Unplugged, so maybe let's go for the 14th?

I had responded awhile back with a potential date.

Slight update, though, that the 14th is now less open, and I'm skipping PAX Unplugged since CGL won't be there. However, if Ed is going to run something at G&S on the 7th, I'll defer to him (but will try to get by and play!).

I'm an almost complete newbie.  I do have the 25th anniversary starter set with about 20 or so minis.

If I show up to G&S on the 7th will I be able to get a first game in or are you looking for experienced players?

Our group is very accommodating of new players - we tend to organize one large game with multiple players (anywhere from 3 to 6-7) per side, so there'll be lots of friendly help for you.

In addition, if you'd like to set a time for a one-on-one introduction, either myself or Paul (the latter ith very limited availability through mid-January) can give you a good, accessible intro. PM me if that's of interest.

There's a group who meets weekly on Mondays to play Alpha Strike.

While we do meet weekly, the Alpha Strike games are usually every other week. I'd love to play every week, but real life says differently. It usually takes a couple of weeks to get decisions made and scenarios created for the next game.

As for Dec 7, you guys just love to run games when By Fire And Sword tourneys are being run at the store. I'll be involved in that all day.
"The Ghost Bears are one big, happy family. I am the crazy, fun loving aunt." - Star Captain Peri Rand.
"You can't write history without including mankind's incessant need to kill one another." - Dr. Jessica Kimball (Hopefully soon to be my canon character)

To be honest, I'm much more interested in what you had planned based on your earlier comment, I can tell Ed to just show up to play if we doing the 7th.  Just want to get it nailed down so someone can reach out to Games & Stuff to confirm space.

Ah, I hate to make the change away from the 14th, but I'm on a local board that's having their gala that night starting at 7 p.m. I'd have to cut the game off at 4 p.m. or 4:30 at the latest to get home in time. No such restriction on the 7th.

With that caveat, let me know which date to book, and I'll call the store.

Cubby, it's up to you and the scenario.  We could also start closer to opening (10 or 11am) instead of noon on the 14th to get maximum time, or just go normally on the 7th.  I do not mind either way but would love to get Daryk in if we can make it work.

Also, we dont have to stop if you have to leave and can just report final results to you as well.  If you need specific mechs let us know and someone should have some clan mechs sitting about.

So Cubby I'm still wanting to do the 16th too if we can make that work, however....

Everyone, Ed is hosting a game on 7 December at Games & Stuff from 1200 to complete.

Excerpt: merc company of mixed mechs and tanks some infantry hired by Kurita to raid and extract from a fed com planet. Possibly a SLDF cache. Probe has already taken place. Now they are ready to assault and extract. Most mechs are light or medium on both sides.
