Lop-Sided Turret Armor … As A Quirk
« on: 10 October 2023, 17:42:21 »
The Recent Unpleasantness has gotten me thinking 'bout how turret armor might not uniform across the top; I'm wondering if there could be a quirk suitable to apply?

This could just be adding one-point "Above" modifier to the Vehicle Hit Location Table pp.193TW

Changing hit location tables is pretty big...

Maybe "Weak Top Armor": Roll for TAC on hit loc 11(?) With indirect attacks.

Could make a somewhat similar positive quirk, "Reinforced Turret Face": -1(?) To crit rolls on attacks from turret facing.

I think see my problem: pp.241tw calls to pp.247tw, but not to the Above/Below Column on pp.tw237, mirroring the pp.at2r39 low-altitude-ops air-to air, then jumping to pp.at2r27 that sort'a kind'a implies we could get an attack-on-roof when ground-attacking a tank. Which, in-turn, adds some value to the Partisan and it's ilk …

When I think about it, I'm harming the Large Pulse Manticore? And the LRM Carrier.

All very optional, clearly. :blank:

Makes sense. Mechs do have the Cowl, Weak Head Armor, and Weak Legs Quirks. Those could be adapted to work on turrets and deck armor.
