I may or may not have just been playing HW Mobile and are a little bit weekend drunk.

Feel free to go wild with comments.

Because I'm leaning back in my gaming chair, laughing probably waaaaay too hard at what I think your faces look like upon seeing this loadout.

I approve Angry. Sub-Cap missiles are part of the third shell of my integrated space defense for my AU's Gen III Destroyers. I think mixing in a few Barracudas will get you more missiles since I think they launch per bay so you're only able to service eight targets at once (and probably kill them but still).

ISD Shell
First Shell - Aerospace Interceptors, Teleoperated Missiles from PWS
Second Shell - Assault Dropships and Small Gunships (mounting AMS, ECM, and maybe Mines)
Third Shell - Barracuda and Piranha
Fourth Shell - Sub and Normal Naval Lasers, Screen Launcher, Pocket Warships
Fifth Shell - Other Capital/Sub-capital Missiles and Weapons (mostly because I try to use those offensively)
Sixth Shell - Point Defense/Standard Weapons/Capital EWAR

Eh, to be fair I actually don't do much Aerotech/Space maps, so I'm a bit fuzzy as to the rules of how many targets per bay/per facing you can engage at any time. That and the game shop I go to is also rather loose to certain rules - there's a reason I can get away with Armored Core lookalike customs, for example - so I completely forgot about the max-out. Oops.

traditionally, you count outward, that way as technology improves, your shell can expand without getting numerical confusion.

00: Your hull
01: your AMS
02: conventional point defense/mech scale weapons on your ship
03: CAP/Escort dropships/ASF combat air patrol, basically the coverage your fighter interceptors SHOULD be providing.
04:Sensor range.

see? That way when they add a new tech, the scale can move without getting goofy.

Oh that's brutal.  I love it.  Only thing I wonder if it wouldn't be better to have a bunch of SCLs insteadof the NL55s, just to make it easier to hit ASFs a little bit in anti-fighter mode.

NL55s were a deliberate choice by me to include at least a 'true' barebones anti-dropship/anti-warship armament layout, plus the single spinal Heavy NPPC. The Piranhas are obviously just there to wipe out ASF swarms and to a lesser extent, Dropships/Pocket Warships. But they're not really all that viable against a well defended true WarShip, especially if said Warship mounts even remotely good AMS coverage. Mounting other missiles in their place takes away from its role as a fleet defender. Or, to put it another way, the absolute minimum of true anti-Warship weaponry I put on is more for at least 'saving face' when faced with an actual Warship. Its role is not to engage one whenever possible, or at least not offensively. Its role is to sit in the middle of a fleet and wipe out incoming ASFs that may/many not be nuke armed. Basically the modern day AEGIS designs but in space. The actual anti-warship guns are incidental and more for a case of 'well, they managed to survive to reach us. Might as well at least bloody their noses' situations. Preferably while another warship with far more guns aboard is also pummeling said target.

Although a Purgatory II 'mixed loadout' I could see myself working on.
