Anyone playing Killer Instinct?

I got Killer Instinct when it was released on the PC last month. I love it.

I was wondering if anyone here on the boards was playing it and maybe wanted to give a go at a friendly match.

The console fighting game?

It has been ported to PC with support for cross play with Xbox One.

it is still around? last time i had seen it was in arcades and on n64... as i recall not a lot of folks liked it since it was possible to chain combos and it pretty much killed the game

What makes me not interested from new KI besides of whole season thing is how casual hostile game it is. Loses are punished badly with losing lot of points and rank goes down easily while it's difficult to get back up so there is no place for relaxed playing. In new KI one always has to play seriously and try to win which to me is not fun at all. Personally I rather play fighting game were I can always play with my own way without being afraid of losing in every match.

I just don't have time to dedicate to playing fighting game for hours and hours end to get perfect in executing combos, blocking and breaking combos to be able to go toe to toe with those that do and to even stand a chance against them.

There are friendly exhibition matches. That's what I've played the most of while almost completely ignoring the ranked leagues. Your win:loss may be recorded, but that hardly matters. Some of the best players I've played against look as though they've never stepped into the ranked matches, but only in exhibition.
