I was walking through the office this morning...
« on: 20 May 2019, 16:33:29 »
Over the last couple of weeks they've installed large (60"+) displays in the office where I work to pass along information.  The just turned on the one in the area I work today.  As I walked past, I glanced up and it was displaying the names of new hires.  One in particular caught my eye...

This might be an interesting summer.

Well at least you know who ask when all the plates from the lunchroom go missing . . .
Incoming fire has the right of way.

The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming friendly fire.

Someone's going to have half their cubicle taken away by someone else.
Think about it.  It's what we do.

Someone's going to have half their cubicle taken away by someone else.

He’ll be in the lunch room, screaming as he snatches up all the communal plates...

On a similar note, my work is in like a technology park, industrial zone thingy (we are a TV studio) and our next door neighbour is Comstar Logistics. Capping it off, our roof sports like half a dozen giant television dishes, so the whole block looks like a HPG compound.
I’ll probably have to report to our friendly ROM agent tomorrow for revealing this

This might be an interesting summer.
Do you plan on giving him some welcome gifts? Like BattleTech box set and Warrior novels?

[edit]
I remember someone else in here tell about having (phone?) conversations with Richard Cameron and Stefan Amaris on the same day.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights errant, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I actually applied to Comstar Logistics just to say they rejected me.

Comstar Enterprises on the road with Cobra Logistics
could tell it would be a bad day

Just wait til you find out he's  Battletech fan too, and hes not lost on the irony of his namesake.

Do not mention Battletech, or you might find that he flies into a rage and starts throwing the lunchroom plates at you.

Later you will find out that his parents were massive Battletech fans. He and his sister Romano have had to live with it all their lives and now he hates Battletech with a passion . . .  :D

Wore the robes, forgot the underwear. They're supposed to come off.  ;D

Fortunately the lunchroom plates are Styrofoam so they'd be more annoying than painful.  The thought to invite the group he's in over for cake did cross my mind.

While having cake party, introduce them to BattleTech game, universe, and major characters circa 3025 including "Mad Max" Liao ;)

Funny you should say that...as part of the traditional teasing of interns a name tag that said "Angry Intern" appeared at his desk the other day.   I have heard another one that says "Mad Max" is there now.  ;D
