The difference there was that he basically tried to iron out all the NFL crap rules and play smashmouth football.  I'd have gone exactly the way he did, but I'd have gone further:

1)  Linebackers have full-body armor, and are armed with rubber truncheons.
2)  Plotlines/angles outside of the games (leading to snap changes in management, star roster upheaval, and general ******, etc)
3)  Players can be recruited at any time, but the deal has to be signed in the "Money Room", with the new deal being signed by a handshake.  NO CONTRACTS.
4)  The players choose to 'jump ship'.  Franchises can't decide to trade.
5)  Ironman, bitches.  One team, up and back.
SUPERLOL  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It seems I, too, missed you LiaoFan, and I barely know you.  Welcome back!

I'd watch football if the players had firearms and live ammunition, and it was played in the Normandy bocage.

Would you settle for the Pennsylvania Wilderness Battlefield? Walmart appears to have retracted its claim on that land.

What? Maybe Walmart would have handled it with taste, grace, and tact. Divide the store between Walmart Blue and Walmart Grey, perhaps?

Do you think you could teach a horse karate? Steven Seagal learned it.

This is important for my movie pitch.

Well, as you say, Steven Seagal learned...surely there's some form of karate that involves counting with one's hooves?  :D

I can't disagree with that statement. Capellans always need EVERYTHING.

I believe he was speaking to you.  Also, Capellans always TAKE everything.  It doesn't mean we need it.  I mean, we've done fine without Chesterton.

Doesn't mean we won't take it back the moment the Suns are looking the other way.

And you wonder why Capellans are rarely invited to the good parties.

In which case we take a beating.

But it's been a while.

No, actually, we don't wonder why.  We know why.

The bad parties are better, anyway.
