Hocus Pocus; well, I tried to watch it; it's a good movie, but a lot hokier than I remember.

I remember that movie as being very... well there were a lot more sex jokes than you'd typically expect in a a kid's movie and a lot of them were not subtle enough to go over the heads of the kids.

I was only okay with it, until Bette Midler came out of the oven reciting French. That for some reason killed me, and I've loved the movie ever since.

This week, i was watching an oldish Andre Keith Braugher show, the Last Resort.
Had only one truncated 13 ep season, but MAN i don't remember this back when it first came out, even though i checked in the older 'what have you watched threads', and apparently i did see it..

And i am still liking it.

Bored last night, I scrolled through Youtube's free movies. Inspired by some of you guys, I grabbed Cannonball Run II, which I haven't seen for decades. I WAS enjoying it, but on Youtube's third unskippable ad break, it decided to back out of the movie all by itself, play another unskippable ad break, then star playing Star Trek (2009) instead. I got so mad I shut off the TV.

Yeah, it's not an accident that their free movie player is so unusable.

you dont use ad blockers? firefox has heap load extentions to let you skip and block commercials...i had not seen a commercial on satantube in close to 9 years or more
just do ad block you tube you will get almost 2 dozen hits in extention search on firefox browser...minus some slow down but its so rare that you never notice and it gets rarer and rarer...oh fb ad blockers are a must....longest at least for me fb made through with ads was 3 days and then no ads for months...after adblockers caught up with them...and gap gets shorter and shorter
or use vivaldi browser...privicy and build in ad blockers

Well, hilariously, my "smart" TV cannot connect to the actual TV service because we only buy it for three rooms, but it can access the wifi provided by the same company with no problems. So I can pretty much get anything I want on it, but I have yet to discover a way to put an ad blocker on it as it has no regular internet browser. It's just apps. And the Youtube one behaves rather questionably. Normally I'd just suffer the ads because they were short and infrequent. Ever since Youtube went ballistic about ad blockers, they ads are longer, more frequent, unskippable and more annoying.

I still haven't even bothered hooking my smart TV up to my wifi because I just run all my streaming through my PS5.

Only do YouTube on my computer so I can keep the adblocker going on it, though.

I have my 32 inch TV on my painting table, and I usually have it on when I work. It's easier that way. Mostly it's for movies, but sometimes I watch Youtube on it. Podcasts I just play off my desktop across the room to avoid ads, but Youtube movies are better on the TV.

Technically that is the original of "Life on Mars", the US version is a remake. :)
And John Simms is good in it.
