New MWO Patch
« on: 04 April 2013, 16:32:10 »
So the new MWO patch looks interesting.
Now we can call in Airstrikes and Artillery.

Also we finally have a cool "Hero" 'Mech.
It's called "Heavy Metal". Any guess as to who it is?

It's a Highlander (patch notes are kinda awesome.)

I'm Australian so the Black screen til 3 minutes into the match due to high ping is hampering my love for this patch :(

Yeah, the more I play this one the more I really, really want a hotfix. The game was nice and stable for me last patch, but this time around? Not so much.

On a semi-related note, is anyone else slightly disappointed that they didn't tweak the missile numbers around a bit? They definitely needed attention from where they were, but this slow, swinging door method of addressing it is kinda killing the joy that is my SRM Stalker.  :'(

I haven't even bothered trying to play it online.  My brother is much more into than I am and he is reporting all kinds of bugs, like teleporting and wonky graphics, or super slow downs in frame rates.

Wait...what?  You were all about this game just a month ago, but you've never actually played a match against other players?

Not after this last patch, no.  I just tied the offline testing grounds and encountered graphical problems with my game.  What would be the point of playing it online right now until the graphic bugs get fixed?

Besides, I've been busy playing other games like a complete run through the Mass Effect games.  I don't have time for MWO right now.

Oh.  My misunderstanding, I thought you had never played the game at all for some reason despite you posting about it all the time.
