"Whoa!"  Audra was amazed as she saw all the school paraphernalia she'd received.  "I was a little worried about the uniform, but this stuff is awesome!"

"Just remember, Audra," said Euron.  "You're not just there to have fun.  This is an official assignment.  So treat it as such."

"Yes, sir."  The younger Greyjoy saluted.

"I have a question?"  Said Isolde, examining her own package.  "Is this going to affect my role in the Hilo City Defense Force once we have all our equipment ready?"

"If anything, it'll actually enhance our image in Yousai."  Euron explained.  "Having an actual MechWarrior in their e-league might increase its membership.  Just don't show the students up too much.  As for your duties in the City Defense Force, it'll still be some time before we can get everything set up with Clan Sugai and the Hilo militia for the formal unveiling.  We also have Freyja as back-up if you're unavailable by the time I decide to reveal "The Four god-beasts of Feng Shui" to the people of Hilo."

"Mom's going to be in the City Defense Force?"  Asked Audra.

"As Ready-Five."  Euron specified.  "Just in case somebody is indisposed.  One more thing, Isolde."  He turned to the 19-year-old Botley.  "I want you to provide as positive an image of the Ironborn as possible.  That means no hitting on the female students.  Got it?"  Isolde nodded with a bit of a pout.  "Yes, sir."

"However, if you choose to pursue a relationship or affair with one of the teachers," Euron continued. "Try to keep it low-key.  I won't get in the way of two consenting adults doing what they want, just so long as it doesn't reflect badly on this unit or its personnel."

"Understood, sir."  Isolde nodded sharply.  "I won't let you down."

"Good."  Said Euron.  "Now then, you two have some preparations to make.  Dismissed."

“To all GSF commands you will need to provide units for a convoy security mission. These units will be in the field for two (2) weeks as this convoy will be moving from the spaceport to Quezon. This convoy is made up of hover trucks and will be moving around 50KPH.”

Part of the escort.
Striker Light Tank (McAllister)
Scimitar Medium Hover Tank (Tomori)

This is your next mission.
Normal mix of units.

Units that are in the field from missions 84 - 85 - 86 are still in the field and can not be used.

time to rock and roll

lady or madam is how japanese formal honorifics such as sama translate to english from an individual to a higher rank than oneself

Generally the English speaking/writing press refer to her as lady when they are referring to her work as Matrona, as City Council rep, or as a board chair. They refer to her as Madame in her role as social maven, as the top of the heap of Nejiro Society, As she who gives the nod - or doesn't.

OOG:  The way Anthony has explained it to me in the past made me think that Lady Sugai and Madame Sugai were two different people.  But since this is the Matrona we're talking about, I can write this out with that in mind.  So...

IG:  Isolde knocked on the door of Amalaa Sugai's office at the Phillip Exeter Academy.  She had been planning on presenting herself to the Matriarch of Clan Sugai since she first arrived on campus.  The Sugais had helped the Ironborn on many occasions, from setting up the Hilo City Defense Force to allowing access to the venue where her brother Tristifer had married Asha Greyjoy.  So, it seemed only proper she first introduce herself to Lady Sugai before any of the other School officials.

"Enter."  Came the voice of the older woman.  Isolde turned the doorknob and walked in.

"Konnichi wa, Sugai-sama."  Isolde bowed formally.  "I'm Isolde Botley, your new teacher's assistant."

"Ah, yes.  Welcome, Botley-san."  Amalaa returned with a shorter bow of her head.  "I trust you and Pyke-san have settled in?"

"Hai, Sugai-sama.  Pyke-san is still unpacking, so I thought to introduce myself to you first.  I would also like to thank you on behalf of my family for providing the venue for my brother's wedding."  Isolde bowed again.

"You're very welcome."  Said Sugai.  "I remember having a conversation with your parents at the event.  Your mother is quite an...interesting woman."  Getting a closer look at Isolde, she added.  "In fact, your resemblance to her is eerily similar in almost every way."

Isolde shrugged.  "So everybody tells me."  She then pointed to her eyes.  "Except for these, of course.  These are my dad's."

Amalaa nodded.  "So, what brings you my office today?"

"I figured I should come to you first, given your ichizoku's history with my family and the Ironborn."  Isolde explained.

"Yes."  Sugai nodded again.  "I have been fully informed of your purpose here, as have the President and the Dean of Students.  I hope you will be able resolve this business swiftly and efficiently.  Now then, I have some business to attend to and I believe you have a class to teach.  Good luck to you, Isolde Botley, and welcome to Phillip Exeter Academy."

Isolde bowed deeply.  "Arigato gozaimasu, Sugai-sama.  I will do my best."

Audra looked at herself in the mirror wearing her new school uniform.  It had been a while since she'd worn one and just as long since she'd worn a skirt.  The deep blue with sky blue and white highlights was a vast improvement from the ugly green, white and pink dresses she had to wear when she'd been in school in the Confederation.  She'd already met Yasmin and Hua when she moved into her dorm suite.  They each had their own separate rooms with a common area in the middle where the other two girls had been hanging out.  Hua was a short Chinese girl with a short bob haircut who tended to obsess way too much over her make-up and what was just the right shade and intensity and had not spoken to her much.  Yasmin, a tall, brown-skinned girl of Middle-Eastern descent with long curly dark hair and pretty eyes that were such a deep brown they were almost black, had been much friendlier, easily engaging in conversation over a variety of topics, from planetary politics to cooking.  However, Audra had yet to meet the girl she was supposed to talk to and befriend, Tatiana Konstantinovich.

When she'd asked Yasmin about her, she had said "Ana", as she preferred to be called, was an honor student with an impeccable academic record, but with a bit of a rebellious streak, having once said she wanted emancipation from her family, though she was too young to do so.  Audra was starting to like her already.  Yasmin had also said that it seemed like something had been bothering her as of late, though she didn't know what it was.  Probably the "problem" Uncle Euron was helping her with, she thought, though he hadn't told her exactly what said problem was.

Eventually, the girl in question arrived in a huff, carrying a batch of flyers in the crook of her arm.  She looked just like the picture Euron had shown Audra.  Blonde, pretty, middling height, blue eyes.  She looked tired or frustrated by her reckoning.  Audra decided to walk over and introduce herself.

"Hey."  She said with a smile.  "You must be Ana.  Yasmin's been telling me about you.  I'm Audra Pyke, the new transfer.  Pleased to finally meet you in person."  She offered her hand.

Ana looked up at the girl.  "Hello."  She took the proffered hand tentatively.  Upon closer inspection, Ana had a sense that this Audra looked familiar, though they had never met before.  Something in the eyes, maybe, she thought.  She was sure she'd seen eyes like that before but couldn't quite place it.

Audra saw the flyers in Ana's hand.  They were for the school band, Itzy.  "Ooh, a concert."  She remarked.  "I'd love to go."

"You would?"  Ana asked.

"Yeah," Audra replied.  "What kind of music is it?"

"Mostly rock and progressive."  Said Ana.  "But my bandmates stuck me with having to put up all the flyers."

"Oh."  Said Audra before offering.  "You know, I don't have class for a while.  Maybe I can help you put them up."

"Really?"  Ana's attitude perked up.  "Thank you.  That would be a great help.  You said your name was Audra, right?"

"That's me."  Audra exclaimed.  "So, where do you wanna start?"

ComStar AP News Services, Nejiro

(4 December 3068)

Galisteo (SANTA FE CHRONICLE) - Located on the High Sierra, the town of Bad Rock is no stranger to violence. However, what started as a simple demonstration against proposed restructuring of the tax system escalated into a full scale battle that has leveled half the town.

Local ranchers have been voicing dissatisfaction with the new "Cattle Tax" since it was first proposed last year. "If'n the Cap'n-General's wanting to be fighting them Lurans, he can danged well pay for the war hisself!" said Bart Owens, eloquently voicing the view of many Trinity World ranchers.

On 12 September, when the ranchers paraded through the main street of Bad Rock in their CattleMasters and LineMechs, Sheriff Neils Fernandez called in Swann's Cavaliers to help keep the peace. The precise chain of events remains unclear, but second hand accounts suggest that the mercenary company immediately opened fire on the protestors. The Cavaliers may have been incorrectly briefed on the situation, or perhaps they mistook the ranchers' IndustrialMechs for bandits. Whatever the cause, by the time order was restored, twenty civilians and two mercenaries were dead, with upwards of one hundred civilians wounded.

Protests over the mercenaries' actions have been lodged with the governor and with Parliament, but no actions have been forthcoming. Since the incident, other confrontations have occurred between the mercenaries and the independent minded citizens of the Trinity Worlds. While none have reached the scale of the so-called Bad Rock Massacre, the situation threatens to spiral out of control.

                                                                                    Quotable

Path of Lava, the mandates

Shirk not the tasks which have been given to you
We are all born to a task - some to be her watchful eyes, some her memory, some her bloody claws - speak with your elders and ancestors, find the best way to serve. Never falter.

Guard the wheel that it may turn in fullnes
I will tell you more of the Ages later, know that we are in the Fifth and the Sixth is near at hand, and it will be a time of grief and destruction. But we will survive, the wheel will turn and light will come again.

Presume not to instruct your cousin in their task
As all have a purpose, so each of us knows best how to serve it. War destroyed us when one of us presumed to rule over the others, we will not allow that again.

Honor your territory in all things
The lands are in your care. Spirits, earth, and peoples. Treat them well. All must be protected or all are lost.

Let mercy guide you in our August Mother's Court
We are rare enough already. Never kill without need.

Honor your Ancestors and your Elders
Their wisdom and courage gave us our lives today.

Honor the pacts with the spirit world
We were created to mediate between flesh and spirit. Never shirk this task.

War not upon human nor beast
We are of both bloods and both worlds. The sword in their heart is the sword in your own.

Let no one or nothing violate the sacred places

The Nejiro Guilds are associations of merchants, trades, artisans, and craft workers. They support themselves via membership fees, service and good fees, grants, and investment funds. They provide materials and tools, mutual aid, education and training, production standards, quality control, ethical codes, safety standards, political influence, security services, insurance and financial aid services, legal services, social functions, and community to their members. Guilds maintain regulatory, inspection, and enforecement roles through their Syndic arm. Guilds are divided into Craft guilds which represent specific trades and services - which are divided into five primary types: arts (calligrapher, musician, actor, dancer, illustrator, manga artist, writer, photographer, sculptor etc.), crafters [blue collar, trades] (carpenter, welder, farmer, assembler, weaver, baker, technician, metal worker, glazier, brewer, lace maker, mason, plumber etc.), martial (combat styles, merchant marine, bounty hunter, patrol officer, security guard, ranger, paramedic etc.), scholar [white collar, professional] (engineer, lawyer, factory manager, pharmacist, receptionist, buyer, architect, surveyor, executive assistant, academic scholar, detective, doctor, librarian, accountant etc.), and service [pink collar, public service] (religious order, event steward, butler, social worker, flight attendent, retail sales, call center rep, teacher, chef, secretary, host, nanny, sex worker, driver, stylist, waitress, paralegal etc.) and Merchant guilds [commodity, wholesale] (livestock, textile, copper, paper, electricity, traders etc.) which regulate trade in general. Guilds also protect their members from excessive taxes, illicit trading, and keep trade secrets. Guilds sponsor apprenticeships, who learn basic knowledge and earn the respect of their peers, and provide the means to move through journeyer status - who are certified and paid for their work - to mastery. Guilds are individually and collectively run by its Conclave of Masters who decide all guild matters. Journeyer's who wish to pursue leadership status within the guild generally educate themselves in the civil service essentials and requirements to become Meritous, as candidates with this appellation are more likely to succeed, though it is not a requirement. Guild Halls are erected locally and regionally to store goods and tools, have markets and offices to conduct official business, with rooms and auditoriums to conduct meetings and social functions, and as educational and archival centers, some have pubs and offer lodgings for travelers and apprentices. The embassy ward in Yousai holds Guild Halls from every major guild on Nejiro and its stellar system. The Masters Hall has its place on the Okina Hiroba {grand square} on Parliament Hill in Yousai.

As the convoy is about to leave, a Dropship lands.  As the assault ramp lowers, the convoy sees the forms of a Striker tank, a Badger Infantry vehicle, and a Falcon Hawk Battlemech.  They are led by a Phoenix Hawk painted not in the standard Ironborn colors, but a bifurcated color scheme of bright sea-green on one side and bold red on the other.

As they approach, Tristan tells the convoy crew.  "Ahh, my wife has arrived to provide security for your trucks.  Don't worry, sir.  So long as you don't upset her, she'll get you where you need to be."

OOG: The units I just mentioned will be my force for next game.  Also, I assume the Tristan mentioned here is Tristan Botley.  After all, how many Tristan's who own a weapons factory could there be on this planet?

“Thank You for the extra escort. We were only going to the airport from here but a ride to the spaceport will work.” The security commander tells Tristan. “I will let Mr. Corado know of your extra security.”
“We need to get moving as we need to get to the spaceport so we can do our bit for the Quezon convoy.”

OOG: this crew is picking up the Gauss ammo, the mission is the Quezon Convoy. But cool setup.

ALSO Badger Alpha or Bravo? Alpha has Battle Armor / Bravo has infantry.

"Ippon!" The referee shouted as Audra was struck clean in the shoulder.

"Damn."  Audra grunted.  She was never that great at sword-fighting.  She had only picked up a dao a few times in her life and that was mostly when she had been in middle school back home.  The wooden boken preferred for kendo practice was weighted differently and had a different style to using it.  The eskrima classes she had enrolled in were much more her speed, as she was much better versed in the stick-fighting martial art as well as knife-fighting.

"Are you OK?"  Said Ana, removing her helm and helping her up.  The younger girl had soundly beaten her in their last three pairings, making Audra feel a bit embarrassed.

"Yeah, I'm good."  Audra took Ana's hand and returned to her feet.  "You're a lot better at this than I am."

"You're not without skills of your own."  Ana admitted.  "Though I think Samuel would, ahem, quite strongly object to such an assessment."

Audra smiled when she remembered the one and only match she'd had with Samuel Sanada, where she'd gotten disqualified by "accidentally" striking the young man squarely in the crotch after he'd insulted her by calling her a "gaijin" and a "peasant".  Though there were few boys in her learning group, they (and a few of the girls) were already starting to call her "Pyke the Widowmaker".  She'd had to apologize profusely to Samuel, of course, such was tradition, but it was a small price to pay to get her point across.

"Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and show 'em you don't take crap from anybody."  She said.  Ana chuckled and reminded her about profanity in class.

Audra shrugged.  "Eh, what can they do?  Give me detention?"  The class was letting out.  Thinking now was as good a time as any, she added, "Say, do you wanna get outta here after we hit the showers?"

Ana seemed confused.  "What do you mean?"

"Just meet me outside the gym after you're done and I'll show you."  Said Audra with a mischievous wink as she walked back to the locker room.  Intrigued, Ana nodded and left the practice room.

Fifteen minutes later, Ana found Audra waiting for her.  "So," Audra asked, "ready to go have some fun?"

"Exactly what kind of fun did you have in mind?"  Ana eyed her suspiciously.

"Follow me."  Audra replied.  She led Ana to a parked ground car in the teacher's lot.

"A teacher's car?"  Ana raised an eyebrow.  "Somehow, I'm not sure I like where this is going."

"Relax."  Audra assured her.  "It belongs to my cousin-in-law.  And I just so happen to have a spare key."  She produced said key and jingled it in front of her.  When they first went on this assignment, Isolde had given her the key, but told her it was only for emergencies.  Audra had promised her cousin-in-law she wouldn't take it, but then, this was a major part of her mission, so she was sure Isolde would "understand".  "Come on, Ana.  Let's bend the rules a little bit."  She said impishly.

"I have a feeling I'm going to regret this," Ana replied. "but why not?"  She walked toward the car and got it.

"Awesome."  Audra smiled warmly before getting in the driver's seat and started the car.

**********

Isolde walked out the teacher's building, folders and books in hand.  She'd been worked to the bone by her superiors and was hoping to spend a quiet night at her apartment.  Her hopes were shattered when she noticed her car was not in its spot
and, in fact, was completely absent.  Although she knew car theft was a possibility, she'd been assured that it was quite unlikely without it being reported.  Realizing who had most probably taken it, Isolde growled internally.

"AUUUDRAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"

**********

As Audra drove off campus, Ana was growing increasingly uneasy.  "Where are we going, Audra?"

"Sorry, just had to get us off campus and away from prying eyes."  Audra responded.  This scared Ana.  She readied her taser just in case she needed it as Audra began to fish through her pocket for something.

"I was told to give you this."  Audra said as she pulled out the article and handed it to Ana.  Ana looked at it.  It was a patch, shield-shaped and embroidered with silver.  The patch depicted a golden squid on a black field.  At the top, stitched in silver, were the words "We Do Not Sow".  Ana instantly made the connection.  She'd seen this symbol before.  At Yasha Saganami's presentation ceremony.  Colonel Greyjoy had worn the same sigil on his coat.

"You're...you're Ironborn?"  She asked.

"Sorry about the deception."  Audra replied.  "My last name.  My real last name.  It isn't Pyke.  It's Greyjoy.  I'm Audra Greyjoy.  My uncle, Colonel Euron Greyjoy, told me to give you that.  And to tell you that he's looking into your little problem.  He didn't tell me what that problem was, mind you.  He just told me to say that he was looking into it.  Then he asked me and my cousin-in-law to keep an eye on you. Maybe even be your friends."

Ana relaxed, feeling a bit relieved before she asked. "And who is this cousin-in-law you keep talking about?"

"Your new TA, Miss Botley, though I just call her Isolde."  Audra answered before elaborating.  "See, her brother Tristifer married my cousin Asha, so that makes us cousins-in-law, if that makes sense."

"I see."  Said Ana.  She had suspected Audra had looked familiar, but now that she'd learned of Audra's actual lineage, she could see a certain family resemblance to the Colonel.  Her chin and the shape of her eyes reminded her of the older Greyjoy.  "You don't strike me as being a soldier, though."

"Weelll..."  Audra began.  "I'm not technically Ironborn.  I mean, I'm family to the Ironborn, but I don't have a rank or an official position yet.  I only just turned eighteen, so I haven't been given a job in the unit.  This is kind of my first actual assignment, but my uncle believed I was the right girl for the job.  Besides, you're not your typical noble, if what Dagmer and Uncle Stygg told me is true."

"Dagmer and Uncle Stygg?"

"Two of Uncle Euron's subordinates."  Audra explained, gesticulating as she recalled all the family relations.  "Stygg Blacktyde is my uncle on my mom's side.  He's not a bad guy.  Bit quiet, though.  Dagmer Harlaw is my cousin on my Aunt Genevieve's side.  He's as dumb as a box of rocks.  He blabbed that you had tried to run away from home with your idol group.  You actually almost got away with it.  I'm impressed."

"So did the Colonel tell you anything else about me?"  Ana asked wearily.

"Just that you needed help with whatever your problem is."  Audra answered.  "And that he thought we could be friends."

"Hmph, that's a bit presumptuous."  Ana remarked before adding with a smirk.  "I'm not even sure I like you yet."

Audra laughed.  "That's OK.  I grow on people.  Like a fungus."  Another chuckle.  "But if you need somebody to help you run away from home again, I could drive us cross-country to Camp Haken if you want."

This time, it was Ana's turn to laugh.  "So where are you taking us, anyway?"

"This place in the Neath." Audra replied.  "There's something really cool there, but you have to keep it a secret, OK?"

Ana eyed Audra slyly.  "You know that place can be dangerous, right?"

"Don't worry about it.  Once we get there, I can access the place with my school ID."  Said Audra as she approached their destination.

**********

The Battlemech loomed over Ana as Audra sealed the warehouse shut.  Seeing the look of awe on Ana's face, Audra questioned.  "This can't be the first time you've ever seen a 'Mech?"

"I've never been this close to one before."  Ana answered.  "This is a...Mongoose, yes?"

"Yep."  Said Audra, "MON-66, old Star League tech.  I kinda like the new paint job though."  She indicated the black tiger stripes that formed a pattern over the otherwise white-painted 'Mech.  "It's Isolde's, but I've piloted 'Mechs too.  Well. just in the simulators."

"Why is it here?"  Ana asked.

"Quick getaway vehicle."  Audra responded.  "Speaking of which, I've gotta get you home before lights out.  Otherwise, Isolde and the Dean will chew my ears off."

Ana giggled.  "Well, we'll have to talk about all this later in private.  But for now, your secret's safe with me."

"Awesome."  Said Audra, getting back in the car.

"We probably shouldn't be too familiar with each other for a while."  Ana said as she got back in the car.  "Just in case anyone followed us.  I don't want to raise suspicions.  My family weren't pleased the first time I ran away, so they're weary of a second attempt.  You should drop me off separately before you come back to the dorm.  Give the car back to your cousin-in-law, then return on your own."

"You got it."  Audra nodded.  "You can keep the patch, by the way.  You're one of us now.  And we don't let our own down."

"Thank you."  Said Ana.  "But you should probably take it back.  I'm not sure what people would say if I was caught with it."

"Just say it's a souvenir."  Audra said as she drove back to campus.  "Or that you're just into cephalopods."

Ana laughed.  "You're a weird one, Audra Greyjoy."

"Like I said," Audra chuckled, "I grow on you."

Shells whistle over our heads and we can hear the repeated zing-cracks of laser weapons being discharged. The Syrma sky is crisscrossed with tracer fire and contrails of high-flying fighters. They are not ours.

I'm here with the Twenty-ninth Berenson Infantry, part of the First Guards Battle Group, nicknamed the Amazons, who landed on Syrma last month as part of a coordinated assault with the Sixth Orloff. But the Sixth never arrived. The initial landings and pacification operations on Ezera and Lothair went well, but when Skye counter attacked, the Guards were pressed hard. Several communiques were sent to Marshall Brett to ascertain the status of the Sixth, but no replies have yet been received from Brett or from Marshal Van Creveld, who commands the spinward section of the border.

The Guards have held out for ten days, but Colonel Briggs - a veteran of Operation Bulldog and Serpent as well as the campaign on Strana Mechty - deems the unit's position untenable. The Amazons are staging a fighting withdrawel to their LZ and spaceports at Skopje and Strausborg, from which they plan on pulling back to the FWL lines.

Force Commander Tito, a Smoke Jaguar bondsman who joined the Guards after Matamoras, commands the rearguard and is clearly disdainful of the situation. "The Great Refusal showed what teamwork can do - the Guards lost their battle, but the League won the war, proving the strength of the Touman - but here we have been left to fend for ourselves. We have been thrown to the Steiner wolves."

Colonel Briggs was unavailable for comment.

"This is Kim Soo Li reporting for CBS. We received a special release from the Ministry of Information. During the past few months, Capellan Special Forces units have worked with local indigenous forces on captured worlds, waging a guerilla war and inciting insurrections against Davionista invaders in prelude to Operation Thunderstrike, the Confederation's counterattack.

["Our Capellan brethren have us to thank for their ability to coordinate with their forces on these worlds. The victories they enjoy are as much our own. We will seek repayment soon."]

"Capellan troops sucessfully launched Operation Thunderstrike against worlds occupied by Hasek's forces along the entire front. The Fifth McCarron's Armored Cavalry liberated the strategic world of Aldertaine after a brutal battle with the Fifth Crucis Lancers. The Lancers withdrew to St. Ives after suffering egregious losses. On Randar, the Holdfast Guards all but destroyed the Twentieth Avalon Hussars with the aid of the newly upgraded Ilsa Hyung, resulting in the death of General Randy Hasek-Bills.

"The planet Ares never capitulated, thanks to the valiant troops of McCarron's Fourth ACR. The Fifth New Syrtis Fusiliers battled for months to a standstill until the Blackwind Lancers broke the stalemate, as Sang-shoo Doles, a Free Capellan officer, personally killed Hasek's sister-in-law, General Serena Thomas-Hasek.

"On Hexare, the Remshield's Dragoons and House Imarra - collectively led by Sang-shao Choug Vong - shatter the Fourth Illician Lancers.

["With Imarra occupied, Sian is weakened, we must prepare to aid the Capellans in their time of need."]

"Stay tuned for more information as we receive it. Reporting for CBS, I'm Kim Soo Li."

New Samarkand (VOTD) - It is reported that last week the Black watch - formally an SLDF regiment - was destroyed while attempting to relieve the beleagured defenders on Dieron.

Though the Eridani Light Horse Command, Twenty-first Striker Regiment and the Brigade's dependents at Fort Winston had been annihilated, Colonel Campbell received news that a company or more of the Nineteenth Heavy Cavalry Regiment had survived. With the First Royal BattleMech Regiment destroyed on Tukayyid, and the remaining ELH regiments out of contact, only the Black Watch was in position to aid their former comrades.

Departing Orestes, the Black Watch (with DCMS aid) traveled to Dieron, entering the system via a pirate point. Tragically, luck was not with them, and at least one Blakist WarShip was in position for an intercept.

The Black Watch, like other SLDF units, had never possessed WarShips. Outclassed, but apparently too far in-system to return to their JumpShip, the Black Watch made a run for the surface. Their JumpShip remained in position long enough to record the destruction of two DropShips and the uncontrolled reentry of the third before being forced to abandon the system.

The Black Watch Regiment must now be considered a complete loss.
