50 ton WIGE tank
« on: 09 June 2012, 18:17:35 »
Load a modded Leopard with a dozen of them, drop them at high altitude.  Enjoy the fun.  Named by Moonsword, sort of.

Surprisingly similar to the Machete Air-Deployable Tank in my WiGE MBT thread.

Even the same tactics with the Leopard.  O0

Inspired by that, though I was thinking more generalist weapons - maybe not great for a battle, but I thought about using them as "sowing madness in the backfield" and giving them the multipurpose tools - cluster or slugs for armored targets, and maybe regular SRMs and some specialty loads - infernos, frag, whatever floats your wiggy and might help deal with what you come across.  Drive them like Stuart did his cav forces and don't stop to pick a fight, just harass and stay moving constantly.

Theoretically, anyway.

I read you, but maybe 20 AC rounds might not be enough for that role?

Guess you could step the SRMs down to a 4-pack, keep two tons of ammo for that, and add a third LBX ton of ammo.  But then you're below the magical 20-point-PSR mark....which, admittedly, is going to be hard to hit anyway.
