Note that he did model work on Star Wars episodes I and II at ILM. He knows whereof he speaks. This is really useful stuff for anyone starting out making buildings.

If you go back through the Tested channel, there's a load of great videos of Savage going through modelmaking, costuming, painting and other practical techniques.  There's a video of him an Aaron Douglas (the Chief from Battlestar Galactica) building amd painting model kits that's highly entertaining.
